Every time I say Happy Holidays I get frowned at. I think it's time to put Santa Clause back into Christmas. It's about the children!

Please join me in my campaign to put Santa Clause back into Christmas. It's about the children!

I'm sure the President is right on it. So nice to have a President that ALLOWS me to say Merry Christmas again. I hear "the" and "and" are next on his list of words he'll free. MAGA

You're right. Christmas is a RELIGIOUS holiday. Children WORSHIP Santa Claus.

BUT, If Santa can't relocate his operations to the South Pole in time, we'll be stuck with "Happy Holidays".

A Canadian government website claims that global warming is forcing Santa Claus to relocate his toy-making village to the South Pole.

Whatever it is/was...it's over. Time to move on to the next festival of drunkenness and debauchery.

Happy New Year!

Happy Holidays is plural. When Xmas ends and New Years is left do we than say Happy Holiday? Or do we separate New Years from the other holidays? I'm so confused.

Kwanzaa runs until the 1st and Orthodox Christmas starts next year.

Santa seems very Pagan god-like (some modern takes on santa are very earthy and "elemantal"). Stressing Santa at this time of the year (winter solstice) could be seen as promoting Pagan worship rituals.

So promoting Satnta would be counter to the idea of turning the holiday season into a totally secular/non religious event.

Before we determine what is the appropriate holiday greeting, first we must determine what ideology Santa Claus embraces.

He has slave labor, only works one day a year and takes all the credit for it, uses animals for his work, keeps his wife at home, and goes into homes without the expressed permission of the residents.

Which is where the birth of the sun (Son) also comes from, when the sunlight/days get longer and longer.

I wasn't able to say Merry Christmas before. Thank the good lord that Trump was victorious in the war on Christmas.

I'm not religious but shouldn't we be trying to put Jesus back into Christmas ?

Sarcasm or not, this stuff is seriously out of hand. My niece is a preschool teacher in San Francisco and we were talking about the "ugly sweater" party trend of late. She earnestly informed me they are not allowed to say "ugly" in class, instead it's a "silly" sweater party because they don't want the kids to label anything "ugly", even an inanimate object like a sweater. How much farther can they take this crap?
