Merry Christmas everyone started this morning with the obligatory glass of gunfire (black tea with rum) had a great day then went onto the British Militaries favourite Port! Hope all our American cousins had a great day wishing you all the best "honi soit qui mal y pense"

Why would you ruin perfectly good rum?
Damn Brits.

Merry Christmas anyways, from the colonies...

Was it served to you in bed by the C.O. and the RSM?

It was originally called gunfire because it was served at the time when the Night Pickets fired of their muskets and rifles to rid them of the powder that absorbed moisture overnight. Tea with laced with rum and some gunpowder mixed in was also considered to be a cure for a disorderly stomach. Kill or cure.

Semper Fidelis.
