Here goes Episode 1: Primal. I really worked this week to have an embedded player here in the page for you all, but after waiting forever for Liveleak and then one round of removing blocked clips for Youtube it gave me more. But the archive.org links below you can right-click and direct download or just click them and their streaming player goes to work.

11 years in and out of "development hell" since I first envisioned this project. I've scoured and studied the annals of cinema and culture almost religiously all these years for when the day to begin would come, and now it has.

The series is about the evolution of human culture, from 'day one' to this very day in an attempt to project where we are going in the future. In it we'll track the rise and fall of each major culture / empire, human invention & thought, and systems of control. I have no desire to make a piece that just harps about how screwed up the world is, which would just play as doom porn while we all have a pretty good idea about all that. Here I want to show how the world we know came about, where things went right and wrong alike so that we might best be equipped to start coming up with real solutions to the serious problems we face as a species.

Presented in the "Language of Television", I can promise you there's just nothing else quite like it.

This episode deals with the origins of human language, the first civilization, and a whole lot more. It does 'depict' biological evolution, although I didnt set out to prove it its just fulfilling my story structure. Its all about cultural evolution, while across the series it shall take an agnostic approach to all the different religions as I have no intent on proving or disproving any of them, while to understand the thinking of each civilization their obsessions with their gods is often crucial.

I'll caution the NC17 version of this particular episode has a short couple "mondo" scenes which makes this the most 'shocking' episode of the 12 to watch.
archive.org... (1.9GB)
archive.org... (466MB)

But just in case I have a PG13 version here for the squeamish:
archive.org... (1.8GB)

Dont worry it isnt me just talking the whole time; it's the furthest thing from it, while this season goes nowhere near any of the left / right stuff everyone loves to hate each other over. And as with all of my works, I've really worked to try to make it an experience.

You might not expect there to be much to learn from our ancient past as lessons for today, but one of the key case studies unique in PRIMAL here is perhaps the most important lesson of all not to be repeated in our near future...

So let me know what you think!

Nicely done, it's really good to see someone doing something.
Couple of points/questions:

I'd have liked your narration over it to tie it together, I think that would've been helpful.

What software did you use to put it together?

Thanks. I'm still bewildered about if the 'tv language' format is at all endurable to people.

Well i just had to ge tthrough this season. I wasn't even 'supposed' to do this period but for about 20 minutes. But then I realized the Bronze Age is the perfect setting for so many things I'm really trying to tell (as you'll see play out in the "toob" intros upcoming).

Meanwhile, I have good oratory but dont think I have a narrators voice. Nor do I have a microphone if I did or money to get one. While being absolutely out of time after this has drug out too long getting to releasing anything.

For the finalie, that one is very special so I do have an old friend doing up a bit or intro/outro narration. But other than that I've had no help hardly any encouragement even so I'm doing the best I can with what I have to work with while being cataclysmicly under the gun.

Oh this is all Sony (er MAGIX) VEGAS. Notepad++ for the 2 txt files but tits really all being done out of Vegas project files. Over 900 of them now. Oh and Paint.NET for graphics lol. Handbrake for conversions. VLC for playback. And yeah thats it so far. I find myself wishing I were a art professional all rehearsed with Adobe products, but alas I am not. I didnt even run Vegas one time for over 6 years before this August but I'm getting by alright. If this thing gets any success I hope tyo at least get some help with voice work, then I can tear it up with all the prepped video materials I had to do before actually starting to lay out episodes. I had significant everything past the Bronze Age already prepped up before I decided F it and went all in raw into the Bronze not 2months ago.

WOW, great job, I’ve only watched 10 minutes and my curiosity is peaked. Thank you for sharing on ATS. If I missed it I apologize, but did you do this all by yourself? Either way good job, just curious what and how many people it takes to make something like this.

ETA I loved the placement of Clubbed to Death song from the matrix soundtrack
