I have been drinking green tea for about 6 months now. I was originally turned on to green tea by my old boss who was from Hong Kong. Often he would take me out for dinners at his favorite restaurants in China town. Every where we went a pot of green or black tea would be at our table. I really noticed the youthful appearance and heath of the people of his culture. Of course aside from the green tea they all ate very healthy besides so I'm not claiming that green tea is the fountain of youth. But for real my old boss was 61 and he looked like he was 40.
Anyway from all my dining experience with him I gained a taste for the green tea. Since then I have learned about the heath benefits of green tea.

Here are some known benefits of green tea.

Boosts your immune system
Lowers blood sugar
Helps prevent cavities and tooth decay
Slows the aging process
Helps reduce the risk of cancer
Lowers cholesterol
Aids in weight loss by burning calories
Reduces high blood pressure
Prevents arthritis
Reduces the risk of heart disease
Reduces the risk of stroke
Lowers the risk of blood clot

What I want to know is what is your take on green tea.
How much do you drink?
How does it make you feel?
Do you drink flavored green tea?
Have you gotten your friends or family on board drinking green tea?

I started drinking 2 cups a day at work about a month ago and I think that I am going to continue doing so. I just feel so fatigued in the winter.

In order to gain any benefits from Green Tea, you must drink 4 coups a day. The water after boiling must sit for 3 minutes, otherwise it is too hot and will kill the beneficial ingredients of the tea...you can also benefit by taking green tea capsules if you don't like the tea

If I just drink one or two cups in the morning is it beneficial at all? I usually drink it in one of those big coffee mugs which is about 3 cups in itself...but only made with one packet of Green Tea...is this okay?

I drink it all the time, I brought a box down here, been here a week and it'sgone. The tea with caffeine in it makes me feel fine unless I have too much of it then I get shaky just like with coffee, but it's so good I just keep drinking it. I don't know what flavored green tea is, but I drink the tea that is made out of tea bags, I got my mom, sis, and ray's mom to drink the tea when I came down. It really is good. Thanks for the list of benefits, I knew there were many just didnt know what they did exactly.

I drink either Green Tea with Kombucha or just plain green tea everyday.
Green tea with kombucha has a really nice flavour, imo.

I have just began drinking Green Tea agian a couple months ago. One thing I have notcied is the better ability to feel stress. Before, stress would have a physical effect on me like I had weight on my shoulders literally. Now, I know there is stress but that feeling is gone. I seem to be able to see that things aren't the end of the world much better than I did.

Whats more, I increased my benchpress from 370 to 407 in just a couple months time.

I have one cup during the day and one in the evening. I still have coffee in the mornings.

I have also been having an herbal tea with spearmint right before bed which is great too. Its supposed to aid sleep and it does its job.

BaastetNoir, green tea lowers blood sugar and aids in weight loss by burning calories. But I wouldn't rely on green tea as the only way to take of the pounds.
