He may not be the Son of Christ... but he is the Savior of America.

More like a modern Moses.

The sad and pathetic thing about this statement is that you and others truly believe it.

It’s above and beyond any previous political cult movement.

He created a thread about it.

Oh wow.

You’re probably using satire here... kudos if you are.
But I’m not 100% sure of that...

Could you please expand on this statement, Les?
I’d love to hear the reasoning behind this assertion.

Cult Checklist

- The group displays excessively zealous and unquestioning commitment to its leader and (whether he is alive or dead) regards his belief system, ideology, and practices as the Truth, as law.

-‪ Questioning, doubt, and dissent are discouraged or even punished.

‪- Mind-altering practices (such as meditation, chanting, speaking in tongues, denunciation sessions, and debilitating work routines) are used in excess and serve to suppress doubts about the group and its leader(s).

-‪ The leadership dictates, sometimes in great detail, how members should think, act, and feel (for example, members must get permission to date, change jobs, marryor leaders prescribe what types of clothes to wear, where to live, whether or not to have children, how to discipline children, and so forth).

-‪ The group is elitist, claiming a special, exalted status for itself, its leader(s) and members (for example, the leader is considered the Messiah, a special being, an avataror the group and/or the leader is on a special mission to save humanity).

‪- The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.

-‪ The leader is not accountable to any authorities (unlike, for example, teachers, military commanders or ministers, priests, monks, and rabbis of mainstream religious denominations).

-‪ The group teaches or implies that its supposedly exalted ends justify whatever means it deems necessary. This may result in members' participating in behaviors or activities they would have considered reprehensible or unethical before joining the group (for example, lying to family or friends, or collecting money for bogus charities).

-‪ The leadership induces feelings of shame and/or guilt iin order to influence and/or control members. Often, this is done through peer pressure and subtle forms of persuasion.

-‪ Subservience to the leader or group requires members to cut ties with family and friends, and radically alter the personal goals and activities they had before joining the group.

‪ - The group is preoccupied with bringing in new members.

- ‪ The group is preoccupied with making money.

‪- Members are expected to devote inordinate amounts of time to the group and group-related activities.

‪ - Members are encouraged or required to live and/or socialize only with other group members.

-‪ The most loyal members (the true believers) feel there can be no life outside the context of the group. They believe there is no other way to be, and often fear reprisals to themselves or others if they leave (or even consider leaving) the group.

Donald means "ruler of the world", so if we want to get biblical with this...

2 Corinthians 4
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Ephesians 6
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

If anything Trump points toward the opposite of Christ and what he taught.

Except Islam.

I don’t begrudge you your opinion of my Faith... or the personal dig to antagonise me.

But my personal reasoning of Islam leaves little room for a political aspect.
You probably have that opinion, which others have also held and expressed, due to the application of Sharia...

My own interpretation of Sharia is of a moral standpoint, and not really political.
Which can intertwine, but are not 100% inseparable.

Maybe you could explain you position on what you think constitutes a political aspect of Islam, I’d genuinely be very interested to hear it.
If you don’t wish to do so here, as it may drift the topic, you can U2U me, if you have enough time to do so.

Well he is wearing the flaming bush, so who knows. I think he is too fat though to be Jesus Christ since I have seen many pictures of Christ and he is always skinny.

I’m not sure what that post does to explain why Trump has done more for humanity than Jesus...

But I’ll entertain it...

”Liberalism is a mental illness”?

Regarding the non-bolded part, have you seen the title of this thread?
Is that applicable to what I just quoted, perhaps?

‪- The group has a polarized us-versus-them mentality, which may cause conflict with the wider society.

Hmmm... that’s potentially true of some Trump supporters.

The cult moniker simply doesn't fit, despite its overuse. It's the anti-Trump crowd that seems more likely to drink the cyanide cool-aid

Don't take it as a dig. Truth hurts sometimes. I would love nothing more than to watch you move past these backwards superstitions.

I appreciate your concern.
However I’m confident in my interpretation of the unexplainable experiences I have had, that led me to where I am now.

So don’t worry about me too much.

It's not you I worry about, but the countless innocent victims in the wake of your totalitarian ideology.
