Its not that Trump voters suck as individuals on a personal level, its not that Trump supporters are inherently bad people its just that there is a political disagreement at play.

Good call to point that one out.

Say it ain’t so. All week trumpeters have been promising big wage raises with this tax cut for the rich. Do you think it’s another lie?

Oh, boy. Your posts make me remember the ever best reason for electing Trump. He and his so-called supporters simply drive you Brits round the bend into the land of bat crap crazy. And I can only surmise your intense interest in whoever occupies the chief executive office of the most corrupt government in the world, (well, after Venezuela and the DRC), is because, well, outside of dodging traffic and knife weilding crazies in London, life in the UK is as exciting as watching paint dry?

BTW, in case you missed the memo, approximately 39% of the people who voted for Trump were actually just anti-Hilary and are looking to elect Democrats in 2018 to effectuate some change they think is important, like trans-gender bathrooms and anti-white privilege initiatives. All those things so important to college educated white women who need to believe they are "woke".

All of which means ..........some day, this too shall pass.

I keep seeing this and I am starting to find it both frustrating and hugely entertaining. In politics, it is inevitable that everyone is going to basically make stuff up, the right do it, the left do it, those who occupy the middle ground do it, nobody is above this, everyone lies a little bit. However, I think what we are seeing with Trump supporters is reaching a new level, it’s like they have created their own propaganda and are the only ones who ironically believe it.

The right, the Trump supporters have coined this new medical condition known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome” to describe the mental state of anyone who does not worship the ground their orange god walks on. I have honestly read some people online who seem to belief that this is a genuine mental health condition. There are other misconceptions that the right like to push that are just untrue, they have created this silly idea that those who oppose Trump think “you”; the Trump supporter must be racist because you’re a straight white male who supports Trump. Again, utter nonsense, it’s just a mechanism for them attempting to occupy the moral high-ground, “look at those leftists trying to call us all racists”. The only problem with that is that it’s simply not true and the only ones who seem to believe it are the Trump supporters. They do the same with Clinton, they seem to have bought into this fallacy that anti-Trump equals pro-Hillary. Again, that is just right-wing propaganda that only the right believes.

Now speaking of Hillary, this is again another area where the right belief their own propaganda, don’t get me wrong I don’t like Clinton. With that said however, I have recently read some nonsense that the Clintons had killed over 150 aids and where running around abusing kids and raping everyone they could. Honestly if your belief all of the crap that the right has pumped out about Clinton then she is the anti-Christ. There are plenty of reasons to hate Hillary Clinton without having to make up all this kind of crap, if anything it only undermines your position on her when you start to believe the lies that your side made up to turn people against her.

This can be seen time and time again, Trump supporters believe their own propaganda, they seem to be the only ones who belief the BS that they are shovelling. I keep reading them harp on about how must the economy has been boosted under Trump and unemployment is down. Yet they never seem to address the fact that this has happened on the back of the Obama administration and in an economy, that is still working under largely Obama era economic policies. It is a lie to claim that it has been Trump who is responsible for this boost in the economy, again however it’s a lie that only the Trump supporters seem to belief.

Speaking of Obama, I still see lots of Trump supporters who belief this myth that they created that Obama is not American.

This goes on, and on, it can be seen in just about every thread, the right seems to believe their own propaganda. Nobody else does, the rest of us see it for what it is; lies and propaganda. Like I said this can be massively entertaining, yet it can also be really frustrating. They seem to be believing their own propaganda because it validates their political views, even if it is built on lies.

LOL... see. I suggested a satire forum and you said it had no place here. Now here you are posting prime material. A vitriolic title, a bunch of hyperbole... baiting half the site.

I'm not a big fan of Trump, but Obama was the a pathological liar, totally incompetent (no experience as a leader, ever) and he was the most arrogant person on the planet. After 8 years of Obama, I find Trump and his team very refreshing--and I realize how our media has turned into pure propaganda. I now deplore politics, but I despise the mainstream media, which Obama Zombies still adore.

Trump voters suck.

I think this is another part of the problem.

It all becomes very personal.

Its not that Trump voters suck as individuals on a personal level, its not that Trump supporters are inherently bad people its just that there is a political disagreement at play.

Its the politics of Trump voters that I think suck, not they themselves.

Yet from what I have observed, it seems that quite a lot of people on both sides of the political divide like to make this personal, when its really not necessary.

The thing that I find troublesome, is how little trump supporters know about him. trump has been dealing with Russian banks since the mid 90's when he was 4 Billion in debt to over 70 U.S. banks, and most U.S. banks no longer would wor

Trump was not always reflexively pro-Russia, and the roots of his embrace of Moscow are relatively recent. And, like throughout so much of his business career, Trump’s interest in Russia likely grew from financial desperation. As Fortune Magazine notes, during the 1990s, Trump found himself more than $4 billion in debt to more than 70 banks, and a series of bankruptcies, heavy financial losses, and debt restructuring lead almost all major American banks to simply refuse to do business with him. Consequently, beginning in the 2000s, he began to rely very heavily on foreign banks for his lending, and Russia—with its inner circle of wealthy oligarchs close to President Vladimir Putin and lax financial integrity laws—must have seemed like a cash cow to Trump.

Trump did sign sanctions against Russia for meddling in the election....I had my head bit off and told I was full of B.S. for saying that. I was told the sanctions against Russia had 0 to do with the election and they were for something else entirely. Also trump "wanted to lift them". Of coarse I was right, but I just shut up, because there was no telling this person anything.

The sanctions bill targets Russia's mining and oil industry and aims to punish the country for interfering in the 2016 U.S. presidential election as well for its military aggression in Ukraine. In announcing that he had signed the bill, Trump made his most definitive statement yet about Russia's interference in the election.

www.npr.org...

His rape of his ex wife. It really bothers me, none of trumps supporters seem to acknowledge this. Its not just that he forced her to submit to him, but the fact he ripped "fistfuls" of hair out of her scalp, is disturbing. She hid in the bathroom all night, the next morning trump said "does it hurt".

What followed was a “violent assault,” according to Lost Tycoon. Donald held back Ivana’s arms and began to pull out fistfuls of hair from her scalp, as if to mirror the pain he felt from his own operation. He tore off her clothes and unzipped his pants.

Following the incident, Ivana ran upstairs, hid behind a locked door, and remained there “crying for the rest of night.” When she returned to the master bedroom in the morning, he was there.

“As she looks in horror at the ripped-out hair scattered all over the bed, he glares at her and asks with menacing casualness: ‘Does it hurt?’” Hurt writes.

Now please address the points made in the OP and not me as a individual.

I think what you alluding to is the problem with the partisan divide in this country. On the left, people tend to believe in data as being independent of the messenger. On the right, the right wingers always attack the messenger as having some ulterior motive and that the data must be wrong if it doesn't fit their preferred narrative.

The left attacks the right with ad hominem attacks because people on the left think the people are the right are bunch of loud mouth a holes for making it personal rather than impersonal. The people on the right then just claim the left is being hypocritical.

And people on the right value who is in "authority" more than people on the left. People on the right believe in STRONG leadership. People on the left believe in having strong public policies over strong leadership.

People on the right tend to favor businesses, corporations, and business owners over the workers. People on the left tend to favor the workers and worker rights. But the right makes a fair criticism in that many leaders on the left only say they are pro-labor but in reality are corrupt and self-serving. But my opinion, corruption is always a problem on both sides. Just because the left has corruption doesn't mean pro-labor policies are all bad.

So there you have it. People on the right prefer authoritarianism. People on the left prefer egalitarianism. People on the right want to preserve the status quo. People on the left want to fight for equality. I doubt the partisan divide is going to go away anytime soon.

Bernie Sanders and 15,000 to 20,000 people show up at his pro-labor rallies. I imagine it is only going to get worse as wealth inequality in this country continues into the abyss.

Thanks, best post of the day.

You did leave one thing out. Many of us are centerists, leaning right because of our business interests. We avoid voting for ill-liberal "Liberals" for two basic reasons. One, most us must work for a living and get really tired of paying fat taxes to provide free stuff to people who won't work. And two, we're really tired of the fact that the Leftists always push crap agendas that invariably make people's lives less convenient.

There's Trump Derangement Syndrome, Clinton Derangement Syndrome, Government Derangement Syndrome.....

We have the extreme Right throwing out death threats, wanting to deregulate everything to the point of black chemical laden water and legal child labor, we have the extreme Left throwing out death threats and wanting to continue FDR's work in turning the country into a Socialist nightmare, both sides are fabricating their own reality on a day to day to basis, and nobody buys into the BS they are individually pedaling except themselves.

Then we have everyone in the middle barely believing any of it, and wondering why we even bother voting in the first place.

Obama spins circles around trump, as far as a leader. Also Obama is far more knowledgeable on pretty much everything, compared to trump. Obama could win a debate with trump, all day long.

Hmmm...

A post attacking all trump supporters, even mentioning race.

Sounds like a thread purely designed to only attack and disrupt, and to bait them into anger.

You know, the very thing you complained about on other threads.
