Were you thinking of the Interview with a USGS scientist article that she did for ATSNN? It's a very interesting read.


I'll repeat what I think about that particular article in reference to the USGC scientist interview about Yellowstone: There is nothing new here. In the interest of science, a scientist must also give politically correct answers to insure their place in science is secure or at least secure enough not to warrant suspicion or rebuke. There are no expert(s) living today that have witnessed a supervolcano eruption or events leading up to one. A scientist or vulcanolgist including geologists can only 'guess' when one is going to occur. In the study of supervolcanos, we are 'All' still amateurs.
