Good..

He deserved what he got.

We dont even know if the accusations were true, what happened to rule of law?

I remember when people use to scream that the "right" were going to turn into Mcarthy era head hunters, and the republic was in danger from the Right.

Now look what we have, we have exactly that, except coming from the left, and people are being accused, destroyed, lives ruined, all on ALLEGATIONS, not FACTS, NOT trials ALLEGATIONS.

Well ladies and gentlemen, Mcarthy is indeed back!

What have we really lost? A trump supporting, kid-touching pastor. I think we’ll be okay.

Not at all surprised that folks think this way.

It's okay now.

Apparently all you need are allegations and accusations to destroy people.

It's the new thing.

Like pets rocks or Tang.

Only with this you get to actually ruin people.

They will definitely reap what they have sown, they apparently are very short sighted in remembering that they will turn and eat their own.

Or worse yet, when the injustice is turned to them, no one will be there in response.

Don't know the details of the situation, beyond what the OP posts.
I gather he claimed he was innocent of what was written of him...but don't know what was produced as proof in the investigation.

That said, a 'deathbed confession' (suicide note) still proclaiming his innocence, rather than admitting his guilt...could be construed as strong evidence he may actually have been innocent.

Again...proof of the crime actually coming from the investigation mentioned above, would carry the the most weight.

Yeah and John Wayne Gacy went to his death proclaiming his innocence too.

This guy was creepy weird though, and a big racist to boot. I think there was a lot more going on with his suicide than just allocations.

Johny Wayne Gacey got a trial, with evidence provided, and a judge and jury

Maybe.

But being creepy weird is almost a requirement on ATS.

As for being racist?

According to leftists, anyone who doesn't think like them is racist.

It's easy to condemn people who are naturally loathsome. I have even done it.

It doesn't make it right however.

Even if he was a bastard, he still deserves a trial, we cannot set president that just because we dont like someone they dont deserve the the rights afforded to us by our founding fathers, the constitution or the bill of rights

Still claimed to be innocent even after convicted. This guy didn't even stick around to face the accusations, and that's all they were. If Dan Johnson was innocent, committing suicide doesn't really help his case, sort of proves it.

That was close!
he may have proven he was innocent.
the FBI could NOT allow that to happen...

But, that's the beauty of it.

We don't need to know.

God knows. And the accused knows.

And judgement was served.

Was it a righteous judgment? What does it matter to us?

It was really a private matter, between a man, his accuser, and god.

They settled it, without us getting more involved, because they had the overwhelming evidence before them.

We'd still be digging for evidence, and questioning witnesses, were he still alive.

Maybe there was a lot more to be found out about this guy, and he didn't want to put his family through all the pain, so he quit before more revelations came out that would shock and embarass his wife and kids.

He tried to save others who were related to him, from all the bad things that would be uncovered.

Now, we can all forget.

Well, too bad he took away that opportunity..right?
I'm not saying he is guilty either, I'll admit I'm a bit inclined to think so though.

I don't care if he's republican or democrat, all I know is a human killed themselves over a potential false accusation and to see people cheer this on without it being proven is disturbing in my opinion.

That being said, he could have done it, but as others mentioned his note kind of hints not to blame the accuser but blame satan. If he did what he was accused of he took the coward's way out and his god possibly will not have a place for him I am not sure how all that works, I don't think anyone knows, they just have faith.

His faith seems strong, or it's all an act.

I have seen this kind accusation ruin innocent people but a lot of the time there is truth to the allegations so they can't be easily dismissed.

If she were sleeping how would she know who fondled her? It could have been anyone.

Welcome back, ragnagork...

I’m guessing she woke up...
That wouldn’t be uncommon, as people often wake up when someone touches them.

Not necessarily.

Flack vest. She didn't feel anything. Neither did Franken, but this is a perfect example of why Rep. Johnson might feel his career is over and want to end his life. His guilt or innocence no longer mattered. He was accused, therefore it's safe to assume that his career was over. His suicide could have been less about guilt, and more a sense of hopelessness for the future.

No no. You have to answer my question first.

Real criminal proven activity by your favorite SOS is not comparable to unsubstantiated claims.

^ absolutely infatuated with "but muh Hiiiilz doe."

It's getting old.

You guys whine about witch hunts yet it was the right who touted birther theories - and still do, nearly a decade later.

Well if he's guilty, then he deserves what he gets.

I don't judge people i just gauge them. If they act unaccordingly, i always take that into account. Particularily those in power holding a rod over peoples head as an excuse to prove themselves worthy.
