Gee could it be because it is an adaption that only is needed for those marine mammals that have it? You see the movement of nostrils in other creatures.

The Kiwi of New Zealand has nostrils on the END of it's beak, to aid in foraging.

You an say "evolutionist" and that evolution is faith based. But you can not prove it. There is much evidence for evoutlion, no matter how much you Rumpelstiltskin about reading the papers we post.

In the end, it does not matter if you want to acknowledge it or not. It happens. It is how you got here. From apes

Deep theory-
Long ago something caused a radiation spike near this planet and others nearby that exposed land and sea animals to high amounts of radiation.
This large amount of radiation exposure caused descendents of the exposed and or the genetic seed bank to adapt/change and adjust physically to the new planets environment after transport 🤔

Just a theory

Science already says you are never v100% sure about something you can’t validate with repeatable experimentation.. creationism is the one that asks you to have faith..

Why does science get a pass that pretends it doesn't ask you to have faith.

Alot of assumptions are taught as facts and treated as facts.

And an amazing amount of them are as illogical and even more unlikely than so-called creationism.

You also missed the point of what you quoted from me.

Evolutionist implies someone who believes in evolution. You don't believe in a scientific theory, it is there no matter what you think. THUS if you think science is onto something you accept all its theories, or work on an alternative

Why do you need to accept all its theories?

What is it about this field of thought that demands religious rigor and fervor.

Work on alternative theories when less than 10% of them can barely be proven?

Seems like a very backwards way of exploration...

And why should the theories be based and controlled by unproven theories from before....my goodness what a sham science is on these subjects.

Rodhocetus
Basilosaurus
Dorudon

All 3 have “receding blowholes” going further back.

Yeah cool and all, very interesting and valid
Except, they all have nostrils before the eye ridge, soo... well, you know

Sorta kinda, well, pointless in relation to where the whale and Dolphin blowhole is.

But you knew that didnt you TD

Why the games of one upmanship, are you that insecure?

Trolling, seems like all that was asked was a question about evidence amongst living animals and the fossil record re blowholes and Bazinga, you go off like a ...well, leave that to your imagination

You know its funny, a question was aked and you demand others accept your beliefs with minimal to no valid evidence

A fundamentalist re your faith, thats pretty sad in my opinion

Enjoy the thread, whoever reads it. It’s quite obvious there are some that demand evidence, but then change the goalposts when it’s supplied.

But if you’re actually curious, check out Rodhocetus, Basilosaurus and Dorudon.

Yes please check out Rodhocetus, Basilosaurus and Dorudon, I really encourage people to check it out
All aquatic animals with their respective nostrils before the eyebrow ridge, funny that
Not one of them has a Blow hole near their eyebrow ridge or beyond

Enjoy the thread, whoever reads it.
It’s quite obvious there are some that have no evidence
But then supply their own goalposts to justify their faith.

But if you’re actually curious, check out Rodhocetus, Basilosaurus and Dorudon.

Because science requires evidence. If the evidence changes so does the theory. Religion is based on gnoses and tends to remain unchanged... Screw the evidence.

Yep your reading comprehension is as lacking as ever. Try again neighbour.

The kiwi's nostrils moved down the skull while dolphins and whales up.

Why the heck do fish have nostrils?
Nostrils, not blowholes.

In all honesty (bare with me my back round is philosophy and cosmology) it's possible none of this is real (simulation), it's a multidimensional reality, or like the teleological example (of fine tuning.) Evolution appears to exist for the observer as a force like gravity. It can be manipulated and changes with different environmental factors (speeds up, slows down). And genetic engineering is possible as are memory implants. At some point soon if not already we could insert memories into an animal capable of having memories leading to faster cultural mutation etc..

So evolution exists to the observer but it doesn't mean other factors haven't happened. Planned mutation, quantum entanglement etc. Now that we are looking at quantum evolution things are returning to the twilight zone.
