I'm consider withdrawing my support for Trump because of his tweets.

If it makes you feel any better, Twitter has doubled its character count to 280.

I would argue that looking at Twitter for civility may be a step in the wrong direction.

Twitter posters in general seem to be "extreme" personalities. Maybe they are the only ones who make the news?

If we wanted just another politician running the country, we would have elected one. Trump speaking his mind and talking directly to the people is one of the reasons he got elected, whether you agree with him or not.

To be honest, it's refreshing to see the POTUS as a human being instead of an empty suit virtue signalling and spewing talking points.

I find the Cult45 responses kissing his ass to be much more amusing.

But I prefer the psychology of idol worship more than the pathology of butt hurt, so that’s probably why.

I'm thinking it is going to really make Trump upset if you pull your support of him.

Trump acts like a bird brain when he tweets.

He got elected because he told people what they wanted to hear. While having not the slightest idea what any of it actually meant.

Quite. The most vile human being sitting in the office for several decades.

He virtue signals to his base all the time.

He spews talking points all the time.

If you care more about the man than the mission then do you.

Personally, I elected a President not a role model.

The Trump we're seeing now is the same Trump he's always been. And at this stage in his life, I think he views changing his behavior as a loss, or handing a win to whatever nebulous enemy he's fighting in his head at the moment.

The best you can hope for is other people writing his tweets for him, like the one about the Roy Moore loss.

Yes, we are all very ignorant in the "rest of the world" and unable to make up our own opinions. Especially us ROWers here on ATS. Have another article:

TRUMP EFFECT' PUSHES UNITED STATES BEHIND GERMANY FOR BEST INTERNATIONAL IMAGE, STUDY SAYS

The U.S. dropped to sixth place, losing its No. 1 spot to Germany. The survey, conducted by the Nation Brands Index, questioned public opinion on 50 countries by examining their brand in terms of governance, exports, tourism, investment, immigration, culture and heritage. The U.S. was behind France, the United Kingdom, Canada and Japan, but came in second in exports and culture.

Global opinion of the U.S. has gotten worse since 2016. In the category of governance, the U.S. fell from 19 to 23 in the survey.

Thank god. Everyone of the supposed moral exemplars they have put forward turned out to hold private views different than their public ones. Their political triangulation, nothing more than a racket with a marketing face, was always empty. And these blowup balloons is what they tout as “presidential”.
