I'm consider withdrawing my support for Trump because of his tweets.

I don't think they're appropriate and are starting to make the USA look bad in the eyes of the world.

I think Trump should shut up, turn off the TV, and get to work at making sure this tax plan goes through, as well as an Infrastructure Program via P3's, Middle East Peace, there's just so much to do and he's ruining it with his tweets, many of them.

There isn't enough context and nuance in a 140 character message, or a serious of them.

It's starting to wear thin, that's all I have to say.

He's making it out as if it's all about him, how absurd.

I'm beginning to deteste his style and character in the way that he lashing out at people and groups and has done absolutely nothing to court the other side and to unite the American people.

He seems to think that he can grow his base so large that it will include everyone, but that's not the way it's going.

If we get the agenda that was promised and a draining of the swamp, then maybe, but it's just not happening.

It's a communication problem and a self-absorbed narcissism problem.

This isn't high school. Has anyone told him?

One wrong tweat and he'll throw the 2020 election to the wind.

I think he can do better though, and will learn how.

He believes in winning, and it appears to be starting to happen provided the corporate tax cut gets through.

He's on a razor's edge now.

One wrong tweet and it'll be all over.

The American people are losing patience with him and his approach and style.

That's so easy to fix, but he can't do it.

We'll see i guess, time will tell. Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.

So let's say that I very begrudgingly and hesitantly continue to support him but only because he's trying, and not because he's doing a good job of it.

And because he's not a theistic satanist.

But that's not enough.

I want to see some American Virtue, where it could be said that the height of virtue, is power, restrained, where Civility is the very cornerstone of a sane and Civil Society.

We need a better role model Mr. Trump. You need to try something new, it's not working.

Principals before personalities.

The American people, not Trump.

If you learn how to get out of the way, then the American people will make America Great again.

It's not just an economic consideration but a spiritual one also for the sake of everyone's well being, both physical and spiritual.

That said, I loathe Clinton and Obama and Biden and that whole cadre.

I just wish Trump would shift focus and become a better model of Civility, even in the face of all kinds of nonsense and hatred.

Then Trump can win for the little man and himself the last laugh, but only in humility, not in Trumpism or Trump-centrism or whatever he thinks he's doing and representing as POTUS.

So I'll remain the eternal optimist.

Until I see his next ugly tweet, that is.

Then I'll have to reconsider all over again.

It's getting dicey.

Best regards,

Ankh

If it makes you feel any better, Twitter has doubled its character count to 280.

I would argue that looking at Twitter for civility may be a step in the wrong direction.

I'm sure when you see whatever disasterpiece the left roll out to run against him in 2020, sanity will prevail and you'll vote Trump for a second time. Otherwise, exactly what are you withdrawing? You can't take your vote back and, frankly, the POTUS has more fulfilling things to concern himself with than individual's thoughts about his Twitter activity... I guess I'm not seeing the point of this announcement.

I'm glad you were finally able to smell the stench and realize that there is an infection.
Take a long shower and smile knowing that you have washed yourself clean.
Don't look back, it's just a endless field of burning piles of poop.

Let me expand on my comment. I recall Trump saying that if Pence had his way, he would hang all gays.

Pence didn't beg to differ, or correct him.......

I felt the same way during the campaign a couple of times. I even started an ATS thread voicing my concern/anger that Trump was throwing the Presidency to Hillary on purpose.

But, it turns out that Donald Trump won because he didn't come anywhere near being your typical "brown noser" politician/diplomat. And, Hillary was such a DOG.

Some people will gravitate to him, and others will gravitate away, as the years pass. I voted for Obama in 2008, but regretted it BIG TIME by 2011.

I think Pence is religious, not a Christian by definition. Not accepting of others as Christ taught

I think Trump would call you fake news if he read that post.

I’m quite certain you recall wrongly. Bigly.

Pence didn't beg to differ, or correct him.

Probably because it never happened.

President Donald Trump joked that Vice President Mike Pence “wants to hang” all gay people, according to a profile of Pence published in The New Yorker on Monday.

The article, entitled “The Danger of President Pence,” details various viewpoints held by the socially conservative vice president that clash with Trump’s. Two sources told the magazine that Trump has teased Pence about his positions on religion, abortion and the LGBTQ community.

“A longtime associate” of Trump and Pence was quoted in the article saying that the president likes to let his VP “know who’s boss” and that Trump asks people who stop by Pence’s office, “Did Mike make you pray?”
