well, first of all anyone who is paying out settlements of $27.000 of public funds to settle a case really should resign!!

and second neither one was really forced out of office, they chose to leave...
in order to be forced out they would have had to go through the headache of ethics investigations. they chose not to go through that.

would you prefer that we don't give that option to elected officials who are accused of such transgressions and force them to remain and cooperate with the investigation so the truth can be revealed??

Of courser they shouldnt be forced to remain.

But you are naive if you dont think the DNC told them they had to go.

I agree. Process should be employed, and there is a process in Congress.

Both Franken and Conyers chose to waive the process. As have others.

Yes because they were told to do so by the dnc.

but the dnc didn't have the power to force them out the door...
they could have stayed on if they wanted to... the dnc might not have liked it, but they would have had to learn to accept it at least till the investigations were completed...

Yes because they were told to do so by the dnc.

Well, I guess.
A good number of their peers who called for their resignation were Democrats.

Did the DNC do so?

Allegations aside, and lets be honest, do conservatives not use allegations against Liberals, Democrats, everyone when they arise? Of course they do and you know this so don't pretend this is a one sided issue, guilty until proven innocent. For that, we can thank the media and the internet and that thanks goes to both sides.

But allegations aside, Moore was a piece of garbage who definitely said America should be like the way it was before the Civil War and that all amendments after the 10th should be scrapped. That and he broke the law twice and removed from his judgeship because he doesn't want to separate church and state.

Moore lost because of voters under the age of 44 and the black community. The rest of Alabama that voted for Moore is deplorable.

Moore was running around quoting hitler.
He's a pedophile.
He doesn't think women or blacks should be able to vote.
Wants to remove the equal protection clause.
Believes only Christians should be allowed in government.
A theocrat
Anti semetic

All of that and he still only lost by 1.5%. It really shows just how bad he was that Alabama wouldn't elect him.

The fact that it took sexual misconduct with minors to sink Moore is depressing. The guy got kicked off the Alabama Supreme Court TWICE for failing to uphold the law and that should have sank him WAY before anything else.

I'll just leave Hillary supporting the KKK video right here...

Or should Byrd be forgiven and him being her mentor be cherished?

Just wondering how hypocritical we should roll here...

The only reason Roy Moore became a hot topic on here is that der leader Trump championing him. Trump called out to his minions and they responded with support, but thankfully the people of Alabama managed to take the high road.

Maybe.

I just do not remember the last time the nation became so interested in the election of one state. The first time I had seen a thread on here about Roy Moore I had to look up who he was.

The importance of the election was of national import. For both parties. Even the dotard knew that, or his prime manipulator informed him of it.

The balance of our system of checks and balances has changed, and not in the direction Bannon would prefer.

This place has become the De Facto false equivalency standard HQ.

What the hell does Clinton commenting on Byrd have to do with Roy Moore in any fashion? Did you feel you just needed something to say about Clinton ad nauseum?

So the new don't trust em has moved from 30 to 44?

Well I happen to think "deplorable" is a moniker that should belong to millenials who get news from networks, social media and word of rumor. Basically those that eschewed history as "boring" and instead know latest game "cheats" or phone apps over any background news and information.

Yall will be death of this country due absolute ignorance demonstrated by your generaration.
