North Korea's Second Most Powerful Official After Kim Jong Un Vanishes, Raising Fears of Execution

The continued absence of one of North Korea’s top officials, General Hwang Pyong So, from leader Kim Jong Un's side continues to fuel speculation that he has fallen from favor and may have been executed.

Director of the hugely influential General Political Bureau of the North Korean military—the body that is tasked with ensuring ideological commitment within the ranks of the army—Hwang has reportedly been expelled from the Workers’ Party, where he previously served in a senior position in the politburo.

An unidentified South Korean source told South Korea publication Korea JoongAng Daily that Hwang was purged from the party for taking bribes. The source did not specify when the expulsion took place.

China Must Prepare for Imminent War With North Korea, Top National Security Experts Warn

It's not just the United States that could soon see itself engaged in a deadly conflict with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. China is also at risk of an imminent war with North Korea, warned some of China's most prestigious national security experts at a conference in Beijing this week.

“Conditions on the peninsula now make for the biggest risk of a war in decades,” said Shi Yinhong, director of the Center on American Studies at Renmin University of China in Beijing and an adviser to the State Council of China on diplomacy issues since February 2011, during the conference. “North Korea is a time bomb. We can only delay the explosion, hoping that by delaying it, a time will come to remove the detonator,” he added, reported the South China Morning Post Saturday.

Wang Hongguang, former deputy commander of the Nanjing Military Region, an important military region, warned that a war could begin as soon as March, when South Korea and the United States are slated to hold annual military drills. “It is a highly dangerous period,” Wang said during the conference. “Northeast China should mobilize defenses for war.”

Quite a soap opera actually. I didn't know 'lil Kim had daddy issues. Did you read the other article:

North Korea's Kim Jong Un Wants to Blow up the World Because His Father Wasn't Nice to Him

Kim Jong Il died six years ago on December 17, 2011, of a suspected heart attack. He should have been succeeded by one of his eldest two sons, Kim Jong Nam or Kim Jong Chul, but the former was assassinated after attempting to go to Tokyo Disneyland and the latter was reportedly considered too “feminine” to be considered as ruler. Kim Jong Un stepped into power as the underdog, after years of reports showed Kim Jong Nam to be the favorite of their father’s.

Life is tough if you get killed for going to Disneyland!

f you don’t hit NK hard and fast, millions will die for nothing. Most reports put NK on the winning side of a conflict. If we actually let our military function as it could, we could have them mopped up

Have you forgotten how many civilians where killed last time the USA attacked korea. Millions..That is the reason they are the way they are now and you want to do it again.

I never said that..
Just said if we did and that we could.

Just to correct revisionist history taking place the US never attacked N. Korea. The US got involved, along with a bunch of other nations under a UN resolution and UN command, to defend S. Korea from N. Korea's invasion.
