Okay, I know I'm probably steppin' in it with this question, hence the 'mud-pit', but I have a compromise question for those on the left...

One for one (only).

Question - If the right dropped the Freedom of Choice / Abortion issue, would you consider dropping the 2nd Amendment / Gun issue?

Honest question.

No politics (ha, like that will ever happen here), no Trump did this, Clinton did that...just an answer to the question, please.

I'm in the center and I am pro-choice and pro-2ed.

I think it would be silly for anyone on the left NOT to take this deal.
I don't think you will get many dems in here saying that they wouldn't take it.
You might get a a lot of libs though.

Well, not sure where you're from, but 'left' roughly equals 'liberal'.

And the faces are pretty well known around here by now. We know who we all are.

Nope! Just that one question.

I do NOT want to distract from the essence of just this one question. Don't complicate things!!

edit - I respectfully request you to delete your alternate question. ONLY asking the one question in the OP...nothing else!

edit II - Thank you!

No. My worldview is not defined by partisanship. Murder is wrong. Self preservation is right.

You need to clarify that this question is for Americans only.

In most other countries, conservatism and gun rights do not go hand in hand.

But if this question is for everyone... No, I would not be ok with a Canadian pro gun lobby in order to stop people from having abortions. You might as well ask me if I want tobasco sauce in my coffee or bbq sauce on my pancakes.

To each their own I guess.

So, if I understand your response correctly, you are saying you are pro-2A and anti-abortion, correct?

If so, this wasn't the question! Because that just aligns with the right.

The question is...as stated.

Again, NOT the question!

Please read the question carefully.

edit - In any case, you are correct...this question is indeed for US members. Thank you for pointing this out.

2 issues that aren't going to change. They are just kept in the forefront to have you people going at each other.

Maybe I misread it. I am a simple person easily fooled by complex questions. If you are asking if I will compromise my world view based on something the "right" does then the answer is still no. I do not hold my views simply as a counter to yours.

Not an American, but am a left leaning (I think?) libertarian.

Pro-choice only up to 20 weeks (but pro birth control to not need an abortion), and pro-gun for rural dwellers.
We need guns in the rural areas. Better to be judged by 12 than carried by six.....

Not for concealed carry, or guns in the larger cities.

I wouldn't give up my views on either one for the other.

He has a point.

You can't compromise on some issues.

It's all or none.

How could you compromise on abortion if you believe it is murder?

How could you compromise on guns if you believe they should be banned?
