But if we'd solve the mystery of what our light is, wouldn't that imply the death of all religion as we know it? (In reference to your zoo hypothesis question if consciousness is local which I believe the old egypts got right, where you die your light remains)

'Your' light won't remain. 'Your' light does not exist.
There is just light - this light right here and right now is the light of consciousness - so don't worry 'your' light will never end - cause 'your' light never began.
What appears to be happening is a light show - it's just a movie.

Haha I was kind of expecting you would jump on this. Hi.
But you really disqualify yourself for every discussion with "all that exists is the now" you're not wrong and not right. Particle wave duality, reality and matter still exist but ... like I said I won't even attempt to try to convince you my farts smell less than yours as it has been proven to be impossible before.

To be honest I don't want to qualify for a discussion.
Just posting.......... what is appearing is the light.

But if we'd solve the mystery of what our light is, wouldn't that imply the death of all religion as we know it?

It would be the death of all 'things' - but no 'thing' would really die - because no 'thing' was ever born.
There are no things - there is just what there is - this.

I believe it's more about overcoming past and future and be fully aware in the now that opens you up for true empathy.

Saying that you have to be 'fully aware in the now' - is incorrect.

Awareness is now - awareness is ever present.
Now is aware of now.................no matter what appears to be showing up.

You might very well be right there peeple, so, before spreading light to the cosmos be sure religion is a redundant ideology.

That is so I believe too. Don't foirget that ancient Egypt had the Annubis to ferry the dead. That is to say: the role of annubis' were to go about and pick up the dead (light) and move them elsewhere. That implies the dead didn't know what to do and had to be escorted to the appropriate place.

I see a lot of that sort of that sort of thing here in Oz, children who died of neglect still at the old farm house where they died over a hundred years ago.

Lots of work about for Annubis', so much they can't keep up in this post Egyptian world.

Anubis as concept. Maybe there are guides who remain after death in the between to work there as ferry captains, because we still got the problem of many many more people alive and this consciousness has to be taken care of, come from/go somewhere too.

Annubis as concept? . . . . Perhaps so, if one considers them such; a concept of the past.

One can also consider them as what is recorded in the ancient texts in a literal fashion too.

If one does the work of ferrying the dead what does that make one?

Be they a motorcyclist who died on a highway, or a child who died of neglect, the dead are people too.

Not everyone finds their way to heaven, and not neccessarily because they are bad people.

So much work to do, and not enough people.
