Take away all words and what is there really?

The spirit.

Well, there is just what there is - isness, being.

It/this could be named spirit - but it is not two - it/this is all there is. So there isn't any things - this is no thing (nothing).

More like our spirit is confined here for a time, like our body was confined in a womb before entering the real world.
Our life here is another gestation period before being born again into another world.

You were never born - you are the screen on which existence appears to exist.
You are ever present - without the aware space no appearance could appear.

Does the present ever go anywhere?

Yes, at the speed of time.

No - time appears presently.

Everything is appearing presently. When do you see?

I see the truth between the lies.

ETA: IOW, I see the meaningless of arguing the words of books as truth or not, the real truth about things and events is shown to us from within, thru the conduit of our soul, as they are occurring.

Thats what the truth is about. Being given to know truth from lies, knowing the right thing to do in the moment.

Despite we are imperfect, sometime it takes a while to know, sometime we struggle with it for a while before knowing, because of our conditioning given us by the world.
edit on 8-12-2017 by intrptr because: ETA: Hard to put into words what isn't about words at all.

It may be seen allegorically like that , but the ot regarding that era of post exodus in its actual written form is pretty specific .
The Hebew Israelites spent plenty of time having to do what Moses said , which was the apparent command of God , like hauling an ark around and sacrificing the right number of bulls , organising in tribes, writing down laws etc . Moses, you could say God, also incurs them to commit genocide on a race of giant people they were scared of , that inhabited Israel before they moved in . The hebrews wouldnt do it , so Moses had a few hundred of the dissenters slain to convince them into it .
When you read it (grim stuff happens) , theres not all that much esoteric or allegorical left to be romantically religious about . There is a gold bull in Wall Street though , and plenty of important OT refernces are found around Moses , eg 10 commandments

Are you seeing now?

Seeing what, the truth the bible is written by men, is changed over time by TPTB to reflect their agenda?

You see it too, right?

I don't give two hoots about what any book says. I don't care what it is you are seeing.

Are you seeing? When are you seeing? Are you seeing now? These words here - are they seen?
Is this question really that difficult?

Don't believe anything written. The writing is secondary - the page on which the words appear is the key - but is often overlooked.

In the Gospels it is NOT a "mistranslation". It is what Christ said. If we know our "Job Lesson" then we know indeed that the Almighty is very capable of putting a stumbling block before us.

In the mistranslated gospel, it says that...therefore it should stay as is?

Anyhow, sounds like god is a troll. Does a decent father set their kids up to fail simply to punish the kid?

To be fair, it is true that the word "temptation" is slightly misleading nowadays, and one version of the Anglican service has already replaced it with "time of trial".
The Greek word means "test", and the modern usage of the English word "tempt" has overtones which were not there in the original.

Exactly...!

Had anyone bothered to read, they would have found that it's not changing the words. It's actually correcting an already miss-translation. What is written in one language doesn't come out the same in another so it has to be edited.

Besides... Even if this wasn't the case, what he's saying makes sense anyways.

Since It's the pope and Catholicism, of course people are going to jump on this band wagon against. No one bothers to read anymore.

He's not "changing what Christ said."

Of which Gospels do you speak (as in, what language)?

Do you know how translations work?

If it's not written in Aramaic, it has to be translated (whether from Hebrew, Greek, Latin, to English, etc), and therefore it can very well be a mistranslation. Is there a 100% correct translation?
