I for one dislike old Al....A superior blowhard that never actually asks a question without a 5 min speech and when he finally gets to his question you say what the hell is his question about...

With that said, give me a break...one woman said he tried to kiss her, key word tried, another said he grab some flesh on her waist back in 2006...

I think much of this takes away from the seriousness of sexual harassment, and at some point we need to say OK so what to so many of these claims and not seek out to ruin a person over it.

that's right defend the Democrat that actually did something while you decry someone who merely was recorded joking about it in private on a bus.

You guys crack me up

The joke is all you remember? What about the sixteen women that came forward and accused Trump of sexual harassment and assault? All liars? But the one's against Franklin are all telling the truth?

That's one hell of a blind spot you've got growing there.

Thank god for Al.

Your right. It was only 8 times...... that we know of.

That's the great thing about people who do this, they are habitual about it.

How about we demand better behavior out of elected officials?

If you are going to be a public figure, don't be a creep towards people, staff and supporters. Do it in private with professional escorts and for God sake, be discreet about it. Where's the modern day Mayflower madam when you need her? They'd make a killing...in Bitcoin of course.

I like Franken in the Senate, he's a little further left than me but he's smart. Being in Congress was a great career for him, I never thought much of him as a comedian.

Losing him will hurt, but justice should be blind. This should be the fate of every sexual abuser.

COME TO ALABAMA!!!.....as long as you are against abortion, you can rape and molest any woman or girl you want!!!

Talibama
Al'Abama
Howdy Arabia
Alabamistan
Hicksbollah
Yall Qaeda
Yeehawdi's

I jest in these names (partially) but my point is, Alabama is remarkably tolerant of a theocracy using a Christian version of Sharia Law and the whole evangelical wing of the Republican party is going along with it, because they're turning more and more into being Dominionists.

He couldn't just quietly fade away huh. Good riddance. Well people seem to lose it left and right. I read a tweet yesterday where Chelsea Handler blamed Trump for the fire that forced her to evacuate her mansion. Delusional doesn't even come close to describe these people.

I've got zero sympathy for Franken, what he did was wrong and it's nice to see justice somewhat catch up to him. I do however agree with his point... there is a stark difference between the parties Franken and Conyers vs Moore and Trump. One side has their base in revolt and the other is excusing it.

Really?

Cause even though you SAY you are for Franken resigning or being punished, you sure make a lot of "even thoughs" and "yeah buts" and "half" concessions for him and others, sounds more like youre just trying to pull the "I know a black guy so im not racist" card here, while making a racist joke.

Know what I mean?

You may SAY youre fully for them getting punished, but in all honesty it doesnt look that way, it just looks like youre pretending youre all for it, what with all the qualifications you put on everything. Much like most of the liberal left has done

What qualifications? I'll state it again. Franken should be kicked out before he has the chance to "honorably" resign. Conyers being removed was good.

This is not a political issue to me, it's just as valid in the Senate as it is in a small business and none should be spared.

Al Franken has been railroaded.

(And having said this, bear in mind that I am NOT your punching bag.)

Railroaded.

Think about it. Some day it could be you.

I for one and not going to sit here and pretend that trying to kiss somebody who doesn't want to kiss you is even in the same league with the Trumps, Moore's, Spacey's and Weinsteins.

It's ridiculous.

you mean the 16 women that disappeared after the election never to be heard from again? Gee I wonder why that happened. Maybe because it was total BS?

By the way Franken admitted it until he realized it would get him in trouble and then he denied it and then he admitted it again thinking that it would get vindicated and then he denied it again when he realized that the jig was up and then he started denying it again but then everyone told him to resign and now he's---oh hell let's just bash Trump that'll fix it!

I was waiting for a source on that, but don't see one. Guess you made it up yourself.
Sorry to see that. A side of you I've never seen, but now you've laid your cards on the table.

yes those actual pictures proved without a shadow of a doubt and he was railroaded--my god they really need to redefine the word denial to mean leftist.

If they weren't tolerant of it, evangelicals wouldn't be as popular as they are in Alabama. Dominionism is quite radical as far as Christian sects go, and it's gaining prominence. That's (in my opinion) because people as a whole are becoming more and more radicalized.

Not every Christian of course, but many in the US do support a theocracy. Cruz and Pence are two in office right now who are poster children for that movement.

If you would like a source, here you can read about it yourself

Poor Al.......have pity of him.

Give me a break.

Self inflicted wounds no matter how much you don't want them to be. Nobody made him grab an ass or stick his tongue where it wasn't wanted.

Franken, in the end falls because even though he purports to be Mr liberal progressive he didn’t personally respect the dignity of woman.

It has to be more than ideals and theory but also actions

Trump is being used by the religious right and the neocons. In the end, they’ll discard him.

It’s coming out now how Pence tried to waylay him
