My take is that the campaign was to distract the public from acceptance of Alien life. Some things are just better off not known. Carry on, shop, worship, study, socialize.

Thats what every UFO doc always shows, cut and jump editing of earth vehicles, accompanied by whooshing sounds, narrated with, "Could it be , is it true , do UFOs really exist?

The only breaking is the commercial breaks, the only reveal is credits at the end.

The "truth" is out there...somewhere...it's all subjective, I suppose.

I'm leery of John Lear's suppositions...especially with one of his rants (on another forum) about "living plasma beings." I know the ET's have plasma shielded foo-fighters, and I don't believe an alien starship crashed at Roswell; because I don't think that the ET's would have been stupid enough to crash one there and leave dead bodies.

John Lear has flown missions for the CIA and other government agency's.

I am more informed about current events these few years on the internet than ever before in my life.

I think the timing of the release may have been related to Watergate in an attempt to divert attention from Nixon and his plummer problems.
