Then my question is a simple one.

Do you believe in it? If you do, do you believe you have the right to take what I earn as you need it?

The problem with socialism is that it gives too much power to the government.

Yeah it may be all rainbows and kittens for a bit, but if I have learned one thing about history, it's that eventually the government that has that said power has and will eff it up. It's human nature. The minute a bad apple steps into power then it all goes to sh*t and the people suffer.

And that's making the colossal assumption you even have the right people in charge to begin with.

Would you entrust any of the current government bureaucrats we have to run a command economy?

Presumably you never ever used any resources/infrastructure that you have not contributed to directly........have a wee think....here's a really really simple bleeding obvious one - roads, and there are many more but go on spit blood rant and rave. My guess is you are Trump supporter who is becoming agitated as hell because you just can't admit to being wrong.

I see it over here with the Brexiteers, reality is too hard to stomach for some so its rant and rave time.

I hate the ideology that thinks that just because I have something they want, they feel entitled to it.

Okay! That's better. I have disdain for certain ideologies myself. Just wanted to clear up the 'hatred" thing, DB. All this hatred is going to come to no-good one day if we aren't very careful.

Be well.

One has to wonder why it even matters to Sanders considering the un-payable debt the United States has - the debt he has been more than willing to support. The debt that he has never lifted a finger to do something about. It's amazing to me that they are unwilling to cut their programs to save OUR money as well.

I saw a leading Dem come out and freak out over the supposed 1 trillion it will raise in debt. Wasn't Obama era raising at least 2 trillion a year? But that was ok, that was just fine - in fact - it was a beautiful and glorius thing.

Oh just because you got yours who cares about funding me???

Greedy, greedy!

Sorry, I saw someone post this before and couldn't resist. I take care of myself thank you and don't ask anyone for handouts.

I don't "got mine," but I don't "got yours" either so that's a-okay.

So you're going to be the first to say that government spends money wisely and that all I earn belongs to them?

the idea is that socialism is the transition to communism, which is the abolishment of the State and Governments etc but, since there have been numerous communist dictators, they never relinquished their power, or dissolved the state, so it was a mixture of state-socialism/communism

Sanders is an idiot.

Only idiots think that letting people keep more of their own money is robbery.

The government take and spend your money regardless of which "ism " may be in place, not really sure what socialism has to do with it. Other than you hate it.

You hate socialists because of what a non-socialist tweets, and you also think he's a Marxist?

Either you are being dramatic and using the term because it appeals to nutters, or you really don't know what Marxism is.

I'm a socialist and I disagree with much of what he stands for.

Absolutely not.

Most of them are millionaires and and they don't own companies or sell any products. They amass millions while only on government salaries. Where is all that money coming from? Take the Clinton's for example. They are all greedy and only care about themselves.

It is a common theme we see in the US. Not sure about the rest of the world.

They like to bitch and complain about taxes and government services, but then complain when someone wants to change medicare/medicaid and such.

The Tea Party was one of those hypocritical groups.

Apparently, you don't.

Socialism, in its original form, is a temporary step towards achieving its mission, which is communism. It is not a social construct, as it was not socially constructed. It's an ideology.

Don't throw around terms you're not familiar with. It just makes you sound funny

You are in Seattle.

Currently. But I've lived all over the south and the west coast as well. Federal taxes aren't really a regional thing.

Yes.

Our taxes went down during the Bush years. During those 8 years, our family thrived...

Sounds like you've got a bad case of selective memory.

Didn't the US suffer the worst economical crisis of modern times in 2008? Or am I mistaken?

So, do you hate socialists in a personal way? Or do you just hate Socialism? Socialism is a social construct. No need to fear it or hate it, particularly when you live in a country where it's not relevant. It does the job nicely in some areas.

I hate Socialism because it is a system which takes my money and security and gives it to someone else. I hate Socialists because they support this legalized theft from me and my family.

To all the socialists on here, how much of what I earn should I be allowed to keep?

Give me a percentage.

Toss me a bone.

10%?

20%?

Am I greedy if I want to keep 30%?
