Al-Qaida has a new target. A statement released in the name of the terrorist organization has accused Arab satellite network Al-Jazeera of attempting
to win U.S. favor. It claims that Al-Jazeera is falsely reporting information about attacks that the terrorist group has carried out.
CAIRO, Egypt - A statement in the name of the al-Qaida in Iraq terror group posted Saturday on the Internet accused Arab satellite network Al-Jazeera
of trying to win U.S. favor by reporting false information about an attack the group had claimed responsibility for.
The statement, which could not be immediately verified, related to a Friday bombing outside a Shiite mosque in Balad Ruz, 45 miles northeast of
Baghdad, that killed 12 people as worshipers left prayer services.

It seems that Al-Jazeera is in a crossfire of sorts. However, if you really look at the picture, is show of an increasing desperation that the
terrorist group is feeling. Al-Jazeera is the most widely watched and widely respected news source in the Arab world. If attacked by Al-Qaida, no
doubt it would widen the cracks already forming between radical and mainstream Islam.
