My local news (a CBS affiliate) just stated that the shooting originated from an apartment formerly owned by Stephen Paddock, the Vegas shooter. He apparently sold it in December 2016.

I have read in other places that it wasn't his actual unit, but a nearby one in the same building.

If it happens to be the same unit owned by Paddock, this would get even more strange, but I don't see it confirms that. Weird nonetheless. I'm sure this will get dusted under the mat just like the Vegas shooting.

Also, somewhat off topic, didn't I read that the Sheriff in charge of the investigation of the Vegas shooting has chose not to run for re-election? I think there is more known that is being led to believe.
