My comment had nothing to do with pride in heritage. It had to do with heroism.

Heroism is defined by heritage. I bet there were a lot of people who at one point considered Charles Manson a hero... actually, I know there were because I remember documentaries on him soon after Helter Skelter.

So thank you: you just admitted you dissed her heritage. That's racist.

What's next? You going to claim you have a lot of Native American friends?

Yes, that would be a stupid comparison that has nothing to do with race.

You could improve efficiency by spreading your arms slightly more during your backstroke.

I think you realize how stupid your post was and are now trying to use a laughable tactic to deflect.

Nah, I just like watching you try to squirm away from a racism charge like so many have had to do for so long... ain't it fun?

A son of Noah? Brother!

You're very on spot with this being a poor political ploy, but more telling is the fact that some of the Trump-haters on here are so up in arms because someone descended from Pocahontas herself likes Trump.

It's hilarious!

Just three times a week?

How about 5 times a week until her voters get the picture. matt lauer can lose a 25 mil per year pay check for showing his dick...what do you do with someone that took advantage of a class of the poorest people in america to her advantage for decades. I'm not saying she is some evil person, but she should not be a congressperson. It seems we can attack a person for transgressions decades ago, but in her case she gets a free ride when we KNOW what she did and we do nothing...lol

Heroism is defined by heritage.

What?

Heritage is something you are given by those that came before you.

Heroism is an act of the individual and a conscious decision.

Not sure how you came up with nonsense.

You could improve efficiency by spreading your arms slightly more during your backstroke.

Who needs to backstroke? You made a ridiculous claim and are using a line of argument that makes no sense.

Nah, I just like watching you try to squirm away from a racism charge like so many have had to do for so long... ain't it fun?

That's the funny part. I don't have to squirm away from anything.

I said nothing in regards to race and it's only been you that has brought it up in our conversation, albeit in a very odd and inapplicable way.

When an argument fails, pull out the race card, huh?

What?

Geronimo was considered a hero by his tribe. The white man at the time saw him as a murderous villain.

William T. Sherman is considered a hero by some Yankees (I've seen the monuments). Around here, his name carries a similar connotation to Adolph Hitler.

Christopher Columbus is considered by some to be a hero for opening up the new world. The indigenous peoples of the Caribbean saw him as a conqueror and a thief.

Andrew Jackson is a hero to many because of his Presidency; you won't hear that from those whose ancestors walked the Trail of Tears.

If you really can't get that, maybe you should check your privilege.

You made a ridiculous claim and are using a line of argument that makes no sense.

I guess it wouldn't make a lot of sense to a supremacist.

I said nothing in regards to race

But you insinuate much. It's OK, really. We live in a free country; you can be as racist as you want.

If you really can't get that,

You've proven my point. Heroism, or perceived heroism, is rooted in the act an individual undertakes. How that evolves in to culture and heritage is irrelevant to my point.

maybe you should check your privilege.

Maybe you should stop trying to be smartass and actually engage in reasonable conversation. This line of debate you are taking is not only absurd, but also out-of-character.

I guess it wouldn't make a lot of sense to a supremacist.

Are you going to continue with the "do you still beat your wife" sort of tactic?

But you insinuate much. It's OK, really. We live in a free country; you can be as racist as you want.

Indeed. And you are free to be as stupid as you like.

Sad that you cannot debate the topic intelligently and have to resort to these tactics.

Oh, it is completely relevant. To accept that would mean you have to confront your own racism, though, by admitting that her heritage and beliefs are as valid as yours, and we both know that won't happen.

I think I am being quite reasonable. It is you who seems to believe that a Native American attributing heroic aspects to her ancestor is "stupid."

Are you going to continue with the "do you still beat your wife" sort of tactic?

I have not mentioned wife-beating. Is there something bothering you?

Sad that you cannot debate the topic intelligently and have to resort to these tactics.

I am resorting to no tactics. I am simply taking your responses and responding to them. If you wish to consider that a 'tactic,' I suppose that is your prerogative.

Again, heritage has nothing to do with it, in regards to comparisons of heroism relating to Trump.

Of course you know that. You just said something stupid and now resort to the race card to cover your ass. Which race had nothing to do with the issue from my standpoint, but I can understand why you would need to pull it out.

No. I said it is stupid to compare Trump to Pocahontas in regards to their heroism.

You do realize that was the point I made and not one about heritage or race, right?

You did read what I posted, right?

I have not mentioned wife-beating. Is there something bothering you?

Did that point really go over your head, or are you being intentionally obtuse?

Apparently you cannot even read properly, because if you did you would not be responding the way you have.

It's a fact that Obama is not fit to shine anyone's shoes.

You do seem to like the word "stupid"... applied to anyone who doesn't think like you. That's the second time you have used it, first toward White Dove and now towards me. Is it just Native Americans and rednecks you are superior to? Or are you just superior?

I said it is stupid to compare Trump to Pocahontas in regards to their heroism.

I know you did. Someone who is inferior is being stupid by disagreeing with you. That is exactly my point.

Did that point really go over your head, or are you being intentionally obtuse?

One never knows...

Oh, I can read just fine. I have read your posts and responded to the disrespect you show other cultures. Perhaps you should read your posts?

Having read this, the following can be stated:

I would like to see this woman's family tree and history.
A quick search, pretty much revealed that Pocohantus's grandson had 7 children and 38 grandchildren himself. So it would be a fascinating look at such.

Most who look at family history, while it is an interesting hobby, really are not in a position to speak on behalf of their ancestors, that were alive and died so many years ago.

We can only speculate on how said persons from history would speak or act, or even have opinions about. And even then, usually those who can do such with any sort of confidence, usually have studied said person for the majority of their academic lives and can even only just scratch the surface of that persons thought process.

FYI native americans are/were EPIC racists.

From slavery to who gets a cut of casino profit.

Shades of native american blood don't cut it.

Even interbreding with white settlers.
