If they do not show up how can you still blame the POTUS?

So you can deduce intelligence from a post on the Internet. Wow. You really are one of a kind. Thank goodness you are here to make sure I as well as others tow the line and say all the right things. I just do not know what I would do without kind, smart and honest folks like you to point out my faults.

If you did not understand the above it is called sarcasm. You see, at no point have you added anything to the thread except to say I do not know how the government works because I called Trump their boss. Just like a CEO is the 'boss' but there is a Board of Directors to make sure they do not abuse their power. Checks and balances.

However, Donald Trump is the highest elected official in the US so one can say he is the 'boss' without being ignorant. I mean, he does hold veto power over their legislation, right? I would say that is power and again, checks and balances. It does not allow one branch to become too powerful. He also has EO's and we all know how and who has used those in the past.

Also, to say that them not showing up is a representation of you is a poor statement to stand by. Do not tackle things head on and instead blame something else for your ineptitude to get things done.

Not showing up for a conference but then having a conference to explain why you did not show up? Schumer and Pelosi are world class schmucks.

OK. I posted to point out a mistake you had made. I'm sorry you don't comprehend it. I truly am.

You can "say he's the boss" all you like. Still makes you ignorant. Yes he has veto, but congress has the power to overturn a veto. Wow, funny how that works huh? You don't run the government like a business. It's just not the same.

Why is that a poor statement to stand by? They represented me and therefore it was a valid stance to make. Not sitting down with a blowhard and actually going to people who can possible get some work done is hardly "ineptitude".

Um, having a "conference" with make believe chairs on either side is a pretty schmuck-y thing to do as well. Just staging an event to whine in front of cameras is top of the line schmuck-ery.

I honestly don't have much more I can say to you. You were wrong and now can't admit it. Just like the guy you're defending tooth and nail. I've learned a long time ago that you can't debate the foolish. Have a good day.

Still cannot add anything but for some reason feel all high and mighty for pointing out a mistake that did not happen. You are picking and choosing and now since you have nothing to actually say you call the debate that never existed as foolish and decide to put your tail between you legs and say good day.

How is it valid to NOT sit down and try to work something out in the government? That is your stance? Do nothing? Pathetic but just like those you seem to agree with. People who talk and talk and talk, lay blame and get not a single f'n thing done.

I want this to be proof to people who oppose Trump that it is these dolts in Congress that we need to remove and replace so we can start to pass policies for us and not them.

Nah. It's proof that the dolt in the Oval Office (you know, the deal maker) can't work with anyone and has no notion of what the word policy means.

So that's reason enough to screw over the constituents?
You're an idiot... oh dolt sorry.
It's like a parent refusing to take care of their children with these elected officials anymore.

This was a big-time optics fail by Chuck and Nancy. Democrats are usually really good at optics, so much so that they seem to prefer them over actual results (see number of "insured" versus number of people that can actually afford their deductible and get healthcare). But they really dropped the ball on this one. Even my liberal friends are saying they look like the idiots in this. Remember when Hillary commented about how Trump could be baited with a tweet? Well if Chuck and Nancy can be kept from doing their jobs by a tweet, they're pretty useless.

You got it a bit mixed up. I am fairly certain that most people don't want to deal with Trump for that very reason. He is like an adult child. He throws tantrums. He needs constant praise. He pats himself on the back for everything. He brags. It's his way or the highway. He degrades and insults others, and then expects to be treated with the utmost respect himself. If someone doesn't go along with his petty crap, he insults them on social media.

Not sure why I bother though - most of his defenders think insulting tweets from him are great.. not because of their content, but because of who it pisses off. Great way to select a leader.. by how well he insults and degrades other people I don't like.

Oh yea.. what was I thinking, Trump isn't childish or petty at all.

You see childish and petty. I see someone simply speaking their mind. They are weak on immigration. They are weak on crime. They do want to raise or keep the rates where they are. His tweet was a direct response to those two twits wanting to include DACA. Trump is saying no.

So Trump says he does not see a deal and that is immediate cause to not show up? If I was Schumer I would have showed up and gone at him the same way. Funny how they never do that to him in the same room. On the Senate floor they become tougher than 'internet warriors' with what they say.

Schumer made the decision to not go. Then he goes on the Senate floor and he speaks about needing to get something done. Well, how about if you spent the time at the meeting instead of pontificating something would get done.

The republicans could have passed the tax cuts before September 30 with a simple majority. They didn’t need democrats. Missing the deadline was a deliberate act. They need someone to blame.

They only have themselves to blame...that is the worst part. 8 years of rhetoric and now that they have the majority we see it was all BS...with McCain leading the pack.

No, this is just proof that the liberal socialist democrats will do nothing that might give Pres Trump a victory.
They oppose everything he suggests, just like they are paid to do by their backers.

The democrats responded to an insufferable child’s behavior, the president of the US. Or he is an abuser and likes to humiliate and make people grovel.

So they suck to his level and that's someone a good thing cause hey he's Trump?

What does it mean to be trump? A rich president with low or no standards of behavior. He will forever be a pox on the Republican Party, like Bill Clinton is to democrat party. Republicans can no longer claim to be family values party or deficit hawks.
