And, if they did manage to produce live organic compost. It would only be useful for 2 weeks. The plants would use all the available feed. Compost would then need feed added to it for the rest of the grow. You don't change the soil. You feed it.
How are they going to do it?

For all the amazing tech. They'll still starve to death.
