Forest Plane

Not sure where to place this one exactly so mods please move if necessary.

Anyone have any back ground on the below picture? Obviously the trees grew up around the plane and based on the size of the trees the plane has been there for quite some time.

Pretty sure there was a recent thread about this as well, but I don't see it. Guy refurbed a 727 for a home.

Cool, thanks. I for the life of me could not figure out why a plane would have been left somewhere for trees that tall to grow around it. Just didn't seem plausible especially considering the plane looked to be in relatively good condition.

The pic you posted is a fantastic shot. Really makes it feel abandoned to the wilderness (if you ignore the small utility pole haha)

I believe this is a plane some guy converted into a home. I think it’s in Oregon.

I bet if you ask the guy why he built there he would say, "I wanted to be off the grid and away from everyone."

Little does he know NASA, the NSA, and every other alphabet agency with spy satellites ALL were trying to figure out exactly why there was a 727 tucked away in the woods.

He couldn't be more "on the radar" if he tried.

HaHa well, he's literally just a few hundred yards from several neighbors, so he can't be too off-the-grid anyway.
