You could be asking for trouble. I just hope there aren't any cannibals amongst us. That could get rather, dicey. Personally though, the only thing in my life that's changed my life, that i'd want to share with others would be advice. And here it is.
1.Do your best and f'ck the rest.
2.Remember the good and forget the bad.
3.Do what makes you happy, unless it harms others.

That's my basic philosophy now.
And also, ending any need for materialistic wants. I found out money isn't everything. Happiness and health is everything.

When you realize this things, you become free.

And it's a wonderful freedom.
