Jesus, are you guys still this butt hurt?
How sad.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

I can see you haven't committed yourself to working the first step.

This would be the place for a rubber/glue joke. Neener neener.

You can't force someone to get help, they have to want it for themselves. Maybe you'll get there in time!

Get over yourself. Move on. Trump was in no way the perfect choice, but the sad truth is that he was the best choice on the ballot.

This is an excellent point. Even Pelosi was saying how Conyers and Franken deserve due process.

Where in the heck is POTUSs due process? Where is Moore's due process?

They impeach the credibility of Franken's accusers by saying they voted for Trump. Yet somehow, Moore's accuser - who worked for Hillary's campaign - isn't a disqualifying factor? Talk about hypocrisy and double standards.

And the left wonders why they'll never get us to go along with their ideas. This is why those very same ideas will forever be resigned to the "would be nice" bin.

They want a functioning agenda? Stop throwing mud at our politicians (Without evidence, of course. Evidence is totally different) and stop congesting our damn government! We had 8 years of wasted time with Obama, and 8 years of nothing but national security "progress" with Bush 43. This 8 years is the era of the American people.

My bet?

This "Trump Supporter" is an imaginary friend. Used as a basis for yet another unhinged anti Trump rant.

Sad, pathetic and funny all at the same time!

So let's ignore the quotes that came straight from the horse’s mouth on those campaign promises. It's ironic out of the 9 points I listed, you only managed to try to defend one. You know as well as everyone else those other 8 points can't be defended. All politicians will twist the truth or not answer a direct question. However, for you to compare Trump's blatant and pathological lying and stupidity as common in the political arena, is really showing your bias toward your messiah. I hate politicians, but none have been so ignorant, narcissistic. stupid and lacking self-control than Trump. If Trump was a liberal, you and every conservative would be raising the house and calling him out and rightly so.

Denying a quote that came straight from Trump's own mouth during the campaign as "Bull" is following the same ignorant "fake" news ploy when Trump refuses to accept facts that call him out. Trump is like the pied piper, his followers use the same deflection ploys by pointing at Hillary and Obama's scandals. He's the current president and has a major problem with taking responsibility for his own actions. His followers have a problem in accepting reality and the 9 proven points I listed.

We the people in the middle and on the right can't let the loony left be the only ones to make up cheeky nicknames for Presidential supporters.

I put forth the nickname of Obommunists for people like the creator of this thread.

I only chose those two because they conflicted with the final Healthcare bill and the current Tax Plan he wants to pass. But you're absolutely right, he reneged on that promise too! He also reneged on the promise he was going to file suits against his 13 accusers for their sexual assault allegation. He also said he was going to submit his tax statements once his audit was complete. I won't hold my breath about the promise to drain the swamp or establishing term limits.

Are you saying a public defender shouldn't, or any lawyer for that matter, do their jobs to the best of their abilities?

Anything less than your best honest effort, then why bother at all. If she doesn't give an honest effort, she, any lawyer, would face disbarment.

I agree, this is political party hypocrisy and double standard at it's best. At this time correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Conyers resigned? Franklin however must resign. I give him credit for admitting guilt, but that doesn't justify him to stay in office. He's a public servant that has betrayed the public's moral trust. Pelosi also needs to be kicked out of office for even trying to justify keeping Franklin in office.

As for Moore, his case is more extreme considering it's sexual molestation of minors. I doubt he'll admit to guilt considering it's on the level of being a pedophile. Trump, 13 accusers, nobody doubted Bill Cosby's guilt when he had numerous accusers, there should be no double standards there.

Let's face it, they're all scum bags. They all think they're above the law. They're all multi-millionaires. Do you really think both parties care what you think? They've hidden government corruption by classifying numerous documents. They won't even give the name of other members of congress who have had sexual allegations reported by staffers. They haven't cared about the voice of the people for years! Nobody should be defending any of these men. The men who had sexual allegations lodged against them in the private sector like Charlie Rose were all fired. That alone shows how our government representatives are self-serving and will protect themselves even at the expense of using tax payers money to do so.

Well first I didn't vote for him and second you lost me at messiah... once again we gave Obama 6 years to do something and after his failing Obamacare he did nothing and became Bush 2.0 but worst... Lets talk in 3 more years to see if you have any point...

He is not a dictator despite all the claims trump haters have made. He is at the mercy of congress, and congress is paid off by the medical/insurance/big pharma lobby. It's not like he did not attempt to keep his promise, and he is still planning on getting a new plan passed, probably once even stupid democrats can see Obamacare is a disaster. With that said anything that can be passed will likely not be much of an improvement because it won't focus on cost reductions.

He's at the mercy of Congress and the Senate. Uhhh, that is how our government system is set-up, it's called checks and balances. He complains about it because he wants to run government like a business - a dictatorship. Remember when Trump took office he said he would be a president for both democrats and republicans? As president, he has the responsibility and it's his job to negotiate with BOTH parties to pass legislation that will encompass ideas from both political parties. It's a give take scenario.

Trump boasts about his negotiating skills in his book, but I haven't seen any of his great negotiating skills when it comes to passing legislation. I've seen more name calling from Trump (even to his own party members) and divisiveness than trying to put his "supposed" great negotiating skills on the table.

2. I do not know why nobody will actually look at the independent analysis of the tax bill instead of looking at these stupid biased headlines. The tax plan will give 90% + of the middle class a tax break and if you aren't one of those you can move to a state which has reasonable tax rates. Nobody can honestly say the vast majority will not get a tax break.

Oh, so families can just quit their 20 year job, sell their house, disrupt their kids lives and just move to another state so they can get the same tax break??? Really, you don't see anything wrong with that? Trump claims a fantastic tax break, but on the other end he's going to the local level and eliminating property tax deductions and a major portion of mortgage interest deductions. So it may appear the middle class is getting a tax break but now they will now have a higher income which will end up becoming a wash. All this while corporations like Trump's will have their tax rates dropped to 20%. Another gimmick like trickle down economics, and we all know how that's worked out. Trump said he was going to help the middle class, yet he sure looks like he's making sure he'll benefit with the new tax code. Maybe he should make it illegal for corporations to hide their money in overseas banks so those billions can be taxed? How about stopping the corporate loopholes that allowed some corporation to pay zero in taxes??? Give me a break. He's scamming everyone just like how he's reneged on his campaign promises.

3. The wall construction has not even started. You are really ignorant if you honestly think it will be hard to make Mexico pay for it, it will happen, but it may come over a period of several years. Obviously Mexico is not going to hand over payment, it will come as some form of tax on Mexican goods, or a fee for crossing the border. All of these are just false.

You're really ignorant to think it's OK for tax payer's money be used to pay for that wall. Trump thought it would be easy to get Mexico to pay for his wall during the campaign. It came as a surprise to him when Mexico's President said he wasn't going to pay for no "f'n wall." So Trump comes up with a ridiculous plan that will decimate Mexico's economy and have us lose a neighboring ally by blackmailing Mexico to pay. Great Plan! I got news for you, it won't happen because it's illegal!

Donald Trump says he would force Mexico to pay for a border wall as president by threatening to cut off the flow of billions of dollars in payments that immigrants send home to the country, an idea that could decimate the Mexican economy and set up an unprecedented showdown between the United States and a key regional ally.

The proposal would jeopardize a stream of cash that many economists say is vital for Mexico’s struggling economy. But the feasibility of Trump’s plan is unclear both legally and politically, and it would test the bounds of a president’s executive powers in seeking to pressure another country.

Even if this plan was put in effect, the American people will be paying for it for several years without any promise the U.S. will ever see a cent from Mexico ...and you think this plan isn't hard to accomplish.

You would think all the lies Trump has dished out since taking office, Trump Supporters would realize not to believe everything he says hook line and sinker. He certainly "hooks you in" but in the end you'll sink.

We agree that the name calling needs to stop, but so does the constant tirade of unproven accusations. Let the Russia investigators do their job, and act after the findings are known. Constantly accusing and attacking POTUS isn't helping anything either.

It would do both parties well to meet at the negotiating table, and simply accept that some of their agendas will be unobtainable. Both sides need to make concesions, and get rid of this all or nothing mentality.

Given the options, there has to be something palatable to both parties in order to move the wheels of government forward. This stand still is ridiculous, and does nothing but injure the country.

Trump is pretty great.

However, you're absolutely right in that keeping that corrupt hag out of office was my number one priority. Which is why I voted Bernie in the primary, and Trump in the general.

Anyone But Hillary = seconded

I get that.
What I don't understand is what Hillary has to do with now.

The election is over.

Why are people still bringing her up when speaking about TTrump and what he does now?

If this individual isn't even more determined to support whatever the mainstream candidate isn't. with all the childish behavior by the democrats dragging their feet... We don't need em on our side anyways.

So I had a little fun tonight after talking to a former Trump supporter. Initially this was a red "MAGA" hat wearing, rally-attending die hard fan. In the last year or so (more the last 2-3 months) he's completely done a 180 degree turn.

Citing a lack of campaign promises being met, constant lies, silly and petty "high school drama", and serious questions about the man's mental stability from moment to moment...he's reversed his opinion.

As we were talking, one thing became clear to me. This guy isn't a moron. He's not an idiot. He was swept up in some kind of "addiction" to something larger than himself that he willingly wanted to believe in.

He told me that it wasn't easy to turn away from "team Trump" as he put it. Most of his family, co-workers and friends are still chanting the same carbon-copied Trump talking points. The social pressure for him to remain a "true Trump fan" is and has been huge for him. He doesn't care anymore though, as the mounting evidence that Trump is simply not fit for the office of the presidency now outweighs any social stigma he may find himself with.

Just like an addict or alcoholic he found it difficult to "quit". He found himself being pulled back in by those around him. He said to me before I had to leave that it felt like he had taken off sunglasses while he was inside a house. Suddenly stuff was brighter and he could see better or something. He said it would be like if you wore sunglasses 24-7 for months on end, indoors and outdoors and suddenly took them off. It was weird and refreshing.

I've heard the same thing said about drug/alcohol addiction as well. I've heard that the initial push to quit is hard, but once over the hump and onto the "other side" things seem so much more clear. A "true" perspective of one's life can finally be seen.

So, because of that conversation I decided to re-write the famous AA "Twelve Steps" for those suffering from an addiction to Donald Trump.

I present to you all:

The Trump 12 Step Program

1. We admitted we were powerless over Trump—that our president had become unmanageable.

2. Came to believe that a fair and egalitarian social contract greater than ourselves could restore us and our nation to sanity.

3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the pursit of facts and logic

4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our political beliefs.

5. Admitted to the internet, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

6. Were entirely ready to have facts, logic and reason remove all these defects of character.

7. Humbly asked our friends, family, and community for help in removing our shortcomings.

8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed because of our addiction to Trump, and became willing to make amends to them all.

9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

10. Continued to take personal inventory of our political beliefs, and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.

11. Sought through research and study to improve our conscious contact with facts and logic, searching only for knowledge of the truth and reality at large.

12. Having had an ideological awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Trump cultists, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

And there you have it -- 12 easy steps to regain your sanity and help truly make America great.

ADDED: You may find this easier to identify and ask for a sponsor. A sponsor should be someone who ISNT a Trump fan. This person can help you "work" through the above steps. Ask them questions, and answer their questions. Be honest, open and frank.

You can't work a program if you aren't being honest!

Check in with your sponsor as often as they ask you to as well -- sometimes it's just a "hey what's up?" and other times it might be a sit-down at a Denny's to go over a particular step and how you're planning on completing it.

It's totaly doable!

WOW...

This might take the cake as a "Weapons Grade Irony" post... LOL...

That's all I'll say about it... given "the denial is STRONG in this one."

Just... wow
