A public defender who is assigned a child rapist will defend a child rapist. It's how our legal system works.
She asked to be excused. She was not allowed to be.
She did not have to take that case.
Weinstein's attorney was not a public defender and there has been no criminal trial.
Weinstein's attorney dropped him after a few days, the right thing to do.

ADDED: You may find this easier to identify and ask for a sponsor. A sponsor should be someone who ISNT a Trump fan. This person can help you "work" through the above steps. Ask them questions, and answer their questions. Be honest, open and frank.
You can't work a program if you aren't being honest!
Check in with your sponsor as often as they ask you to as well -- sometimes it's just a "hey what's up?" and other times it might be a sit-down at a Denny's to go over a particular step and how you're planning on completing it.
It's totaly doable!
There fixed it for you
The Anti-Trump 12 Step Program 1. We admitted we were powerless over Trump—that we had become unmanageable.
2. Came to believe that a egalitarian social contract greater than ourselves could not restore us and our nation to sanity. 3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to Trump
4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of our political beliefs.
5. Admitted to the internet, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
6. Were entirely ready to have facts, logic and reason remove all these defects of character.
7. Humbly asked our conservative friends, family, and community for help in removing our shortcomings.
8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed because of our addiction to Hillary and became willing to make amends to them all.
9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
10. Continued to take personal inventory of our political beliefs, and admit we were wrong.
11. Sought through research and study to improve our conscious contact with facts and logic, searching only for knowledge of the truth and reality at large.
12. Having had an ideological awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to Clinton cultists, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
And there you have it -- 12 easy steps to regain your sanity and help truly make America great.

1. Avoidance: "I'll talk about anything but my real problems!"
2. Absolute Denial: "No Not Me, I Don’t Have Problems!"
3. Minimizing: "My Problems Aren’t That Bad!"
4. Rationalizing: "If I Can Find Good Enough Reasons For My Problems, I Won’t Have To Deal With Them!"!"
5. Blaming: "If I Can Prove That My Problems Are not My Fault, I Won’t Have To Deal With Them!"
6. Comparing: "Showing That Others Are Worse Than Me Proves That I Don’t Have Serious Problems!”
7. Compliance: "I’ll Pretend To Do What You Want If You’ll Leave Me Alone!"
8. Manipulating: "I’ll Only Admit That I Have Problems If You Agree To Solve Them For Me"
9. Flight Into Health: - "Feeling Better Means That I’m Cured!"
10. Recovery By Fear: "Being Scared Of My Problems Will Make Them Go Away!"
11. Strategic Hopelessness: "Since Nothing Works, I Don't Have To Try!"
12. Democratic Disease State: "I Have The Right To Destroy Myself & No One Has The Right To Stop Me!"

I haven't read through the thread yet, but I hope someone has written a counter-point 12 steps to overcome Hillaryism, because it's just as bad as what you call Trumpism.
