OK, with Dirty Dancing, we all know why we like that one, and it's nothing to do with the movie. It's everything to do with Patrick Swayze ... shirtless ... hawt!

Personally, that's what I thought too, but to each their own I guess.

To my wife's credit though, there's another more magnetic movie which will stop her cold in her channel surfing tracks...and this would be the Godfather flicks. Now granted, it's a great series (the trilogy), but when you can recite the script verbatim it's time for a break.

That's all right. I normally don't understand the appeal of most so-called sex symbols, but I did/do see the appeal in Swayze.

To be fair, it was a snicker-worthy sarcastic quip that I starred. I've said much more "offensive" than that regarding body parts and mouths. /shrug

I prefer Roadhouse for the "Swazye" swoonworthyness, and hubby likes the movie, so I get away with it.

While I do like Steel Magnolias, because it does "get" the lifelong relationships of women, I would rather watch Fried green tomatoes. At least you learn something.

Well it's coming up christmas and in the UK that means The Sound Of Bloody Music. Again and again. God help me from Doh Rah Me.

I don't know if it's just cuz watching it was a thing at our house when I was a kid and my parents made it seem like a big exciting thing, but if that's a chick flick, I can lay claim to having enjoyed it.

So maybe it's just certain kinds of chick flicks I can't imagine suffering through. To be fair though, The Sound of Music did have a clever slipping away from Nazis if I recall correctly - that could be what gave it a needed dose of excitement.
