Many also get confused on sexual orientation and preference. Also an area that confuses me. When a straight man, that feels they are female, get the change done are they now lesbians?
Too damn many labels.

Im fully aware of the pain they go through. Hence why I started the conversation. I think jutso hit the nail right in his last post.

Please don't get Me wrong, way better trying to grasp the feelings/emotions associated with that feel of repulsion here, rather than somewhere a transsexual might hear You

Yeah, totally! I mean, that would suck, right?

The reason why you feel this way could likely be completely normal.

The important thing is to recognize the base instinct and correct it before its broadcast into the world at large. In short: now that you know you feel this way on a base level, control it and continue treating all humans based on the merit of their behavior.

I am repulsed by maybe 80% of the population.

Just don't be rude about it.
Be nice and exercise good manners.
Maturity is important to maintain a civil existence in society.

In the end you just gotta focus on solving your own problems. We can barely handle our own much less everyone else's.

80%? Daaaamn, Muzzie. That's a # ton of people.

Out of curiosity, I wanted to know who these people were so I I Googled "80% of the population has" and google finished with "herpes". I just made it super easy for you to determine who you are repulsed by. 80%

Its not that it's "not normal.; It's that it is fake, completely. It's been my experience that most of us are willing to understand if women prefer women or men prefer men. But transexual is a different issue. Here we have people who want to BECOME the opposite sex, and they believe they can do it through surgery. So if you split a man's member into two and shove it back inside his crotch you create a fake vagina. Is it real? Of course not. You give this guy drugs to create boobs. He changes his clothes, and thinks he's now female. Well, B.S. He's still a guy. Every cell in his body has an X chromosome--every single one. He still has an Adam's Apple. he still has male musculature (Handy when you compete against women in sports.) But now he demands to be called "she," demands we accept the emotional drama of it all, and as likely as not, demands we pay for his surgery as well. But it's all completely fake. That he thinks he's a "woman trapped in a man's body" is melodramatic, to be sure, but it's also a sign of mental illness in these indulgent times. The fact that "society" and the MSN has crammed this crap down our throats is what is repulsive.

You re right. I was watching a vsauce episode earlier about what gives us the creeps and it really is about ambiguity. Like we are hardwire to recognize certain things but other things just dont look seem right.

As much as we would to be able to decide exactly how we think or feel, in the end we can only control how we act.

Good for you for being so honest with yourself, most of us are incapable of it.

Judging by anecdotes (both personal and from others) and national porn search terms, I doubt everybody here is being truly "honest".

I don't really care anymore. I've learned a lot about the stories people will tell themselves to make themselves feel more "normal" and how that translates into the urge to make others feel less than normal.

It all boils down to "you like what you like". I've never felt the need to come on ATS to talk about who "repulses" me because there's no need. If I felt the need, I'm probably going to unpack that a bit because there's something deeper going on.

I get totally "repulsed" by the whole idea of it us well, as much as I want to be cool with whatever alternative lifestyle a person chooses to live, I still can't help myself from being totally freaked out by the very prospect.

But having said that, the fact is, being freaked out by it is a completely psychological & ingrained cultural reaction.

Think of this scenario... your sitting on a beach in Thailand, when all of a sudden a genuinely beautiful and perfectly proportioned topless Thai chick walks past you, wearing nothing but a bikkini bottom...

At first all your thinking is, "god damn I'd be a lucky man!"

But then another tourist walks past and informs you that its only legal for 'ladyboys' to be topless on beaches in Thailand... Within the few seconds it took for the tourist to make that comment, your frame of mind has gone from being totally blown away, to being apparentely "repulsed"... lol.

Like I said, its a psychological & cultually ingraind perception.

Yeah, this whole transgender thing is crazy if you ask me. People need to accept who they are born as.

So glad I'm a lesbian trapped in a man's body.

Yeah, well, the great thing about your condition, if you don't tell anyone, nobody would ever know

Some seem more than OK with it. Tran porn is a growing industry:

Just read the stats in the first half of the article. It gets political stupid after that

I’m repulsed by idea that someone felt the need to author a thread that amounts to “this is how I Feel so deal with it”. I Fully respect your right to have that opinion however inconsequential it may be.

To switch gears though to a more positive note. I’m at a friends house for Turkey day and there are of course people here that I don’t know and some I do. Well this young girl maybe 11 or 12 whom I’ve never met or spoken too walks up to me and says “you’re pretty”. I smiled as I could feel my cheeks blushing red and returned the compliment. I wonder if she noticed the suppressed looks of repulsion as I read some of the comments here and thought I could use a compliment?

Regardless of all that I hope everyone is able to enjoy the day with people that don’t find them repulsive and whom they enjoy being around.

I’m still sitting here glowing ☺️ as kids tend to be very honest and direct and it feels good to get a compliment from some who has no agenda and sincerely means it

At the end of the day though, that's how so many of the social issues of the day boil down to.

I "feel" I am a man trapped in a woman's body, so deal with it.

I "feel" that is not a human child in there, so I am going to terminate it. Deal with it!

I "feel" that paying for my health care is wrong, so we should all be taxed to provide it for me. Deal with it.

I "feel" it's a bad thing for a person to have to pay for their college debt, so you should be taxed to pay for mine. Deal with it.

And on, and on, and on, and on ....

I don't pity. We need no pity when dealing with issues rationally. So you were bullied and ran away; and yet it sounds like you have turned out to be quite the bully with low tolerance.

What a novel idea, I googled "79% of the population has" and got this

"79% Of People 18-44 Have Their Smartphones With Them 22 Hours A day"

Its a wonderful world to live in, as long as you watch everyone's hands. Don't let the smile distract from the hands reaching. Always watch the hands. Well, there is a serial killer on the loose right now and nobody has a clue who it is, so yea, Im watching everyones hands during this holiday shopping season. Especially people in diaguise with a thin frame who twiddle their cell phones in hand. Get it man? Welcome to America

Seminole Heights Serial Killer Reward $100,000 after fourth victim.

Would be a nice if somebody could identify them before a fifth victim. The streets nearby the same area actually have been known to have roving bands of tranny prostitute gangs. They have beaten people pretty bad who have tried to rob them or take advantage actually
so maybe its one of them on a rampage! Maybe thats one of the details our cops are missing?

“this is how I Feel so deal with it”

But those weren't the words of the OP; what's your agenda?

This was the OP - fairly straightforward

ts been bothering me a lot. Not the fact that there is transgenders but the fact that it disgusts me so much. I have all my life been accepting of others and tried to have empathy for everyone that is marginalized may it be illigal immigrants, gays, racial profiling etc..

Now I still feel that transgenders have a right to be and respesct everything about them. Its just that I find it so abnormal, so weird. Anyone else ever had to fight against their nature in order to accept others? Im kind of bummed that it does not come as normaly as respecting gays and lesbians.
