Walk right in its around the back , just a half mile from the railroad track.

This song has been a tradition every Thanksgiving for as long as I can remember.

I always have to hear it at least once.

Happy Thanksgiving.

I love that song, I use to hear it every year when I lived in Illinois, I think they played it when their turkey dinner was ready for escape.
😜

You can get anything you want at Alice's restaurant...except for Alice!

I expect to hear this no fewer than 3 times today. 1 down!

This is the first song I learned to play on guitar.
I stayed the summer at my cousin's house. We were 13.
My uncle would come home for lunch everyday and would play this song for us. He didn't teach chords or how to play. We just sat and watched.
After he would head back to work, my cousin and I would spend the afternoon beating around on his old Dixon box guitar trying to figure it out.

As the summer was coming to an end, we were both able to "kinda" play the song.
We both still play to this day. 30+ years.
Still don't play it right.

I was introduced to Alice and her restaurant years ago by my girlfriend at the time and was captured by both the music and the film , I think the film really captures the essence of the 60's.

Arlo Guthrie FTW.

Happy Thanksgiving cousins.
