you have noticed the fruition of identity politics.

Nevermind that he's proven to be a liar, and that his pants are on fire. Its all about identity.

We do it to ourselves. Why are there people in congress that are 70 or 80 years old, been there for many decades? Do young people really think these people will represent their best interests? Why did the left put up only an old socialist against an unelectable Hillary, and he still would have won if they didn't cook the books in her favor.

Trump IS the third party whether good or bad...lol

I wonder how so many can approve and or follow a man with absolutely no class and throws temper tantrums like a 2 year old. He is a disgrace to the American People and frankly the people who stick up for him always have to throw in..

Welcome to the age of everything you say in private or public that is instantly broadcasted to the world. Trump is far from the worst...he is the worst at Twitter, I'll give him that, but I think you do not have a clue to just how bad our past Presidents and Government officials have been. One of the worst was old Hillary herself, her use of the F bomb towards those she has always hated such as the police, aids, military etc that needed to work around her is legendary...lol Trump is just not a professional politician that hides it all. I think that is why he was elected...we have not done very well with the professional life term politicians have we...Now people complain he isn't polished as one...lol

Other countries look at us and laugh!!

I don't think so..who is laughing? Trump has been very popular in the Far East and Middle East. Leaders in Europe scampered to get a picture next to him too. This is a far cry from Obama's apologist tour....

Yay more opinions about American politics from a Canadian. Last I heard you can be jailed for using the wrong pronouns....

Seems to me you should be focusing on your nations problems... That's all...

Take a civics class. The President can submit legislation to Congress. They have pretty much stopped bothering lately because Congress has become so ineffective. Who starred that misinformed post?

Yes you need to take a cvics class. Presidents can draft a bill send it to congress but only a Member of Congress can introduce a bill (or "measure") for consideration. Meaning the president has to find a congressman willing to submit his bill. This is the exact reason presidents dont do this. Much easier to send a recommendation to the house and let them write the bill. The president can never submit a bill.

As the nominal head of his party, the President should have no problem getting a Congressperson to introduce the bill he drafted. If a President runs on getting laws passed, it is up to him to do it, not just sit by and call Congress names.

Again with the personal crap. It's to be expected though.

There is a correction taking place, because of the politically insane correct liberal left extremists that have been taking away everything God and America stands for.

Now sit down, shut up, and maybe you'll get a chance to screw things up again in 2024. In the meantime, take your medicine that Americans all over have had to swallow, which is a Godless, lawless agenda from the left.

Good day

So the US doesn't meddle in other countries affairs? Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria ring a bell?

See your disconnect?

would if youve exhausted all options and tried everything possible to get to them do their job to help the american people but they still sit on their hands and do nothing? you have to find it interesting that for the last 8 years republicans wanted to repeal a variety of laws put into place by the last admin yet somehow in all that time, the power in the house they didnt have squat ready to go...? sure its the presidents fault

Funnily enough I agree with the OP.

Exelent thread by the way, I kind of feel like I should have wrote it myself

I have wrote before about how I think Trump is a massive risk to global security, if he makes it to the end of his stint as president without starting a major war then consider me amazed!

Its interesting however what the OP says about his supporters, I honestly think that it is unfair to tar all Trump supporters with the same brush but I think its undeniable that a lot of Trumps supporters are perhaps not the kind of folk I would personally consider as good humans.

I have spent a lot of time looking at how Trump came to power, I found is campaign massively entertaining and his win was astounding. I think that there was a huge anti-clintion/establishment vote because Rodger Stone, Manafort and Bannon managed to package Trump the billionaire who has gone from being a democrat to a reformer to a republican somehow the anti-establishment candidate. They also however ran a campaign that was fuelled with hate, they have continued to use this hate to keep the momentum of the alt-right moving and that creates the kind of stuff the OP is talking about.

Like I said, I think Trump is very dangerous but what is perhaps more dangerous is the movement that that his campaign managers created.

I get the feeling that his followers are much more dangerous than Trump will ever be.

They are very much like religious extremists in their mentality. Any crime againt their enemies is "justified".

That's pretty true for most supporters of politicians in the internet era.

Now, let me be clear that there is a difference between a supporter and a voter.

Fueled with hate ? I'm not american ... I watched both debates . His campaign seemed to run on making America safe and bringing back jobs to the US and doing something about ISIS . He did attack Hillary for her dishonesty, and hit back when she tried to slam him with sexual abuse allegations..(she is married to Bill after all ).

I saw way more hate and accusation coming from the left, and still do.

Meh... just my two cents .

When your party controls both houses? It absolutely is. Have your staff write a healthcare bill, hand it to a rising star in Congress, and BOOM! Why isn't that happening?

Exactly, change the word Trump to Hillary or Democratic party and look back and you will see the same kinds of things happening. Some people are wound up and crazy at this point, that's what is really scary. It is happening on BOTH sides of this debacle and some people don't realize they are playing right in to the hands of the elite who want us pointing fingers and screaming at each other so they can go on their merry way and continue to crush anyone not in their secret clubs. Wake up people this bull**** has gone on way to long.

@DJW001 in my personal opinion, cause the repubs dont want this presidency to succeed just as much as the dems. they are just as pissed that an outsider got in on their rigged game, so let it fail so we can tell the american people, "see what happens when u dont choose the person we picked"

I agree no one but the voters wanted him. Look how long it took the Rep to kind of back him.
