I doubt their live's are in danger by the public, more like from the one's who put them up to doing this in the 1st place if they "sing like canaries" and name them. They put their own live's in danger when they decided to swim with the sharks. The public has every right to know the details of this case, perhaps their lawyers should seek witness protection if they name names, however it's quite possible their legal fees are being paid by the same folks who want the depositions to remain closed ?

I dont advocate violence, but its ok to put some flaming bags of dog poo on their door steps, and maybe some missing porch lights.

Well that's about the maturity level of today's political circus so why not?

When you target people and punish them simply based on ideology and then are surprised when there are repercussions, then you are a ####ing moron.

I'd bet that they had hoped Hillary, Queen of Cankletta, would have been president. Then they could have targeted without fear of punishment.

Physical harm by the average Joe because of a political incident? You're taking your politics too damn seriously if that happens.

Oh, so when government does something, people are supposed to bend over and say, "Thank you"?

Ms. Lerner and Holly Paz, her deputy at the IRS, filed documents in court Thursday saying tapes and transcripts of depositions they gave in a court case this year must remain sealed in perpetuity, or else they could spur an enraged public to retaliate.

OK, so an admission of guilt. If the tapes and transcripts proved their innocence, they would not be calling for them to be sealed. They would demand they be released.

Are you paying attention? We're talking about assault here.

People are angry. The government targeted them for thinking differently.

It must be nice being Canadian where your government is friendly and never does anything wrong. In America?

Our government sucks.

Wow that is scary. And with people being armed like they are in America that could get out of hand really quickly.

Historically?

We really have issues with government. Even had a small spat or two a while back.

Political incident? Urmmm having the IRS target you can absolutely destroy your life, business, family, home, everything. They can take everything you own and you'd be paying them till you die. That's not an incident that's a full on attack.

Especially when they made sh*t up and targeted you for your political views. If they hadn't been caught, those people may as well been shot in the head, it would have been kinder to them than the hell the IRS could smack them with.

I do enjoy it when I can agree with you on things Brit.

You bring something to the table that is very tangible and very very real. They should fear the public. So much so BEFORE any actions were placed that they would be taking huge risks in doing so.

My stance has remained constant. Make an example of those that would seek to defraud the public and bend laws to suit their own ends....or their puppeteers.
