No I'm really not. It doesn't matter if regular people think the Navy is incompetent or not. What matters is the intelligence agencies that monitor our capabilities. Again, they're not sitting there reading CNN and deciding we're incompetent and ripe for the picking because of a few collisions.

What about enemy intelligence agencies, are they privy to the same information ?

Intelligence agencies are privy to a lot better information. They don't just sit and read Yahoo and CNN and make decisions based on them.

And as bad as the Navy has been in the past, and this is nowhere near as bad as it's been before, it's never stopped people from joining the Navy.
