You've just put my mind into overdrive. So let's say that this becomes a regular procedure, it's only a matter of time before a man's head is attached to a female body, or vice versa. I'm now wondering how much more difficult it would be to connect all the nerves etc on the opposite gender. I mean, if a woman's head went on a man's body, how easy would it be for that person to get an election post surgery? If a man's head was attached to a woman's body could that person produce milk.

Chinese partner Xiaoping Ren already successfully carried out an animal head transplant on a monkey in January, 2016. According to the Italian, the monkey survived the transplant without any neurological injury for 20 hours before being euthanized for ethical reasons.

Wtf.. they did that to a perfectly healthy monkey? (2 healthy monkeys?)

I'd like to know what the final result will end up being. if Head A is transported onto Body B -- and it all works and there is consciousness afterwards, **who** will it be? The person that is/was Head A?

If so, that's a pretty strong suggestion that consciousness is only located in the brain, and not made up of all your living cells as some has professed. Which then has strong implications as to whether a 'soul' is real or just the name given to consciousness which will cease to exist once the brain is dead. Meaning, no life after death -- it's only our living brains.

The procedure was performed on a cadaver, not sure as to it's political affiliations, or indeed if such can even have those.

Then again a lot of dead people seem to be voting in the U.S these days, so China might be playing catch up.
