That f16 that u speak of had an article written about it ..it was a 2 seater with sum pod....are they using the f17s to come up with counter stealth measures...and if so why not use f22 or f35s?

It was an IRST pod. They're using the F-117 because it has a lower IR signature and doesn't require them to tie up airframes that could be doing other things.

Multiple systems, ground and aircraft based. Our 2016 sighting there was a new antenna mounted at the peak of the fuselage behind the cockpit.

Today The War zone has about 4:30 minutes of audio and some of it is from the F-117 who seemed to have run an exercise in the Groom Area

Which platform is Stealthier? The F117 or the F35?

I was reading about this exercise earlier in the aviationist

theaviationist.com...

One thought I had was that would the F-117 make a good test bed for alternate RAM/RSM materials? Nobody could really tell if she was flying in a different dress and it would allow direct comparison of performance vs the original in a real time situation.

Is that even feasible?

Seeing the F117 had the radar signature of a 5/16" ball bearing Im not sure they can make it stealthier..If they are trialing new RAM then it would show up hotter or colder on the F117.Would putting it up the pole do the same vs flying it?
