Given that football (a game where a net is at each end of the field, and brain dead cretins of low morals and high ego kick a sphere at them for 90 minutes) existed well before American Football (which itself is a bastardised form of rugby, which is itself a much older game), we shall be considering the older of the two the original, and the only correct owner of the name football, thank you very much!

Its a term coined around two hundred years ago, to distinguish apart Association Football, from Rugby Football. Soccer is derived from the word "association".

And in fairness, Jesus watches everything, if the tales are to be believed in any regard.

Alright, that was pretty funny.

Should hear the whole song Has anybody seen JC i think its called.
Though i haven't heard it in years. Drunken sing songs after a games eem to have died out. These days the lads are too uptight about fitness and diet to sink 20 pints and hang around playing the fool.

Getting pretty sick of those soft handed plebs to be honest. Rippling abs and bulging biceps, but cannot carry their own shopping home, cannot push a car worth a damn, too good for a night out and too worried about their calorie count to drink ale, like a man. They elect to get softy jobs because they do not like ruining their nails, or getting grease on themselves in case they have a skin flare up, but they can sure as hell go to the gym, and examine themselves in the mirror, get themselves all worked up over how chiselled they are, imagining themselves to be supermen, despite the fact that their minds are weak, and they have forgotten what being a man even means, leave alone what it looks like.
