Tax Cuts allows for increased Bonuses, progressive Perks,...to keep pace with the (invisible) inflation of +10%

We could look at the administration favored Tax Cuts for Corporations as Tribute, if We were honest with ourselves

If this were about tax cuts for the people, they would just raise the standard deduction by $1000 and give everyone a $1000 tax cut. If it were about boosting spending, they would give everyone a Bush Tax Cut style $1000 rebate to go out and spend.

It's not about either of those, it's about shifting more money to the wealthy, that's why it's being written the way it is.

So if a company or individual makes a "lot of money", they lose the right to their earnings...?

It is important to understand, ONLY PEOPLE PAY TAXES. It doesn't matter one bit where or how a tax is collected, all taxes are directly on the productivity of the people. Corporations and every other kind of fiction that pays taxes, simply treat them as an expense and pass on the cost. The final customer in all businesses is the people. And if you take people out of any part of the equation (out of a corporation, as a customer, out of a county, state or whatever), no taxes will be paid. So all the people should want low taxes everywhere or better yet, none at all. It is bad enough to tax these fictions (just really us in the end), but local, state and federal governments, today, ALL claim a better right to your property and the fruits of your very own labor than you do. To the point of seizing your property, the fruits of your labor, or even placing you in prison. Rallying for high taxes anywhere is plain foolish.

That's all well and good for an argument for 0% taxes, but let me ask you something. What do we do if 0% taxes aren't low enough anymore? What happens when all the major countries adopt a 0% corporate tax rate. Should we pay a -10% rate? Some countries have effective negative tax rates for corporations now already.

If taxes are only collected from the people, then negative tax rates shouldn't matter one bit as long as we treat them like government spending, right? In fact it would even attract more companies to our country.

Corporations should pay a lot of taxes for the privilege of living and doing business in America. We send our military all over the world to pave the way for them to do business.

You do understand that those profits are for the shareholders who have invested in the company? I also presume you understand that the shareholders can be anyone from your next door neighbor with a few shares to someone with a 401k or institutional investors like pension funds? I always find these threads funny when people don't realize they want to cut their nose off to spite their face. The very people complaining are probably benefiting from these obscene profits but to ignorant to even know it.

That stuff dont sell anymore. Its not a question of wanting a cut. Its an issue of addressing the increasing wealth disparity that is happening the world over.

Wake Up..

The argument is good no matter what the tax rate is. I realize there must be taxes, but the government of the US of A and the states are supposed to be a republic, where the rights of the people are supreme. When the right to your property and fruits of your labor are completely in the hands of the public servant, then you and I have no right to property. If the taxes were collected only from businesses then the government and business would be tied at the waist, and policy that hurt business would hurt government. But today even this is only nominally true, because we do not use money, we use fiat, which can be created at will by the government sending bonds to the Federal Reserve Bank. Federal government is to rely on imports and the states for its funding per the constitution, but today it can create all the money it needs without taxing any entity one cent. This has turned the balance of power on its head making the servant of the states (the federal government) master, not only of the state governments but the people themselves who are supposed to be the sovereign.

No, you are just a brainwashed fool. A useful idiot as Stalin would have said. Sad, just like most of Americans, dumb as rocks, defending the thieves that steal from them. Who is a servant that steals? What would the king do with such a servant? Sad.

Big Corporations need a lot of money and capital to keep expanding their corporate globalist utopia to other slave nations.
To bad you need to compete with pygmies in Africa.
