I just saw this- one of the winners in tonight's elections in Virginia is identified with Democratic Socialists. He is only in the state government, not federal, but this is a very interesting sign and hopefully a sign of things to come. Americans are seeing the oppression and hopelessness of corporatism, uncontrolled capitalism and extreme conservatism and realizing that more business as usual is not going to do anything to help the majority of people in this country.

prepare for political (and economic) turmoil over the next several years. Not just stateside either... I think the entire globe is entering into a paradigm shift right now. It might be a bumpy ride. Hopefully we are all better from it in the end. Time will tell

(FamCore disclaimer: I'm not suggesting I am for or against this newly elected rep - only that we are witnessing some major changes in the political environment here and abroad)

Let's you know what the federal workers think. But does it surprise anyone that the federal workers think we should live in a socialist society? More money for them ... taken from us.

You should move to Venezuela.

I hear socialism is doing wonders down there.

I drove to Virginia Beach, VA. this past Summer. Lots of people in that state with "issues". The folks in West Virginia were much nicer and friendlier.

I love how the painting in the background seems to be staring down its nose in disapproval.

This is normal, there is always a response when the pendulum goes to one side.

Its part of the natural order of keeping things the way they are with the allusion of "two different sides".

If Trump had of refrained from endorsing Gillespie he might have stood a chance.

I was expecting all the fake news and 4Chan mudslinging / baseless conspiracy theories on the conservative side to brainwash people into voting Republican in mass. We shall see.

I honestly don't know much about what kind of positions people are voting on this year. I think next year, 2018, has more seats in the U.S. House and Senate up for grabs. I'm not even sure if anyone in Congress is up for the vote this year.

What's a 'soclialist'?

Remember all those times you said that democrats weren't socialists? Back when you were trying to convince regular folks that saying such was a myth?

Now you're celebrating their victories and arguing for their policies unabashedly.

Can we then surmise by your behavior that you think such deceitful tactics are required for any person of mental rectitude to accept?

What happens when that doesn't work?

Oh yeah, the violence, as you have repeatedly called for and supported thus far.

So after the thorough dismantling of both the democrats and republicans in the 2016 election, Putin is now free to go about installing the real puppets.

Didn't waste any time now did he?
