People who live/breathe/eat internet forums and social media, find it hard to believe that 80% of Americans get their news from sources other than the internet.

I dug up some facts on this.

Eighty-one percent of Americans get some of their news though websites, apps, or social platforms. While TV is still the most popular news source for Americans—57 percent of U.S. adults “often” get their news from television—that's mostly due to its popularity among older people.

In essence, the older you are, the more likely you are to like TV. More than 70 percent of Americans older than 50 “often” watch TV news; less than 50 percent of Americans younger than that do. Meanwhile, only about a quarter of 20-somethings and college students are regular TV news watchers—but 50 percent of them are regular online news consumers.

So, for 20-somethings and college students, only 25% watch television news while 50% are regular online news consumers. It looks like online news will be a lot more popular in the future. Meanwhile, 81% of Americans get some of their news from websites, apps, or social platforms, while 57% of adults often get their news from television.

Here is another news source about this from Bloomberg. It looks like it is a legitimate thing.

The Industrial & Commercial Bank of China Ltd., a state-controlled enterprise and the world’s biggest lender by assets, is due to renegotiate its lease at Trump Tower in Manhattan during Donald Trump’s presidency -- a business matter that may raise constitutional questions for the incoming president, ethicists say.

The bank’s lease is slated to end in October 2019, adding its renewal to the list of potential conflicts of interest for president-elect Trump, who has vowed to slap steep tariffs on Chinese imports and declare China a currency manipulator. The lease is no small matter for the Trump Organization. ICBC was Trump Tower’s largest office tenant as of 2012, occupying 11 percent of its office space, according to mortgage documents filed by Wells Fargo & Co. that year.

The relationship between Trump and ICBC is one of the clearest financial connections between the president-elect and a foreign government, and it highlights the potential conflicts of interest that could spring from his sprawling business empire. While presidents are exempt from many rules designed to prevent such conflicts, the U.S. Constitution bars all U.S. officials from receiving gifts or payments from foreign governments under the so-called “emoluments” clause.

So there is a legal basis for this complaint. It looks like Trump still has a while until he decides to renew the lease or not. Shouldn't he be held accountable to whatever laws apply to him as President? I mean, it could be as simple as not renewing the lease or transferring his wealth to his children, which he was planning to do at some point, right?

The problem with that article and the Democrats in question -
They ignore the fact Trump resigned from all of his business prior to taking office.

Attached to the CNN article below is the 19 page letter he sent resigning all of his positions from his business and boards he sat on. This Democratic talking point is a fraud and nothing more.

The text of the 19-page letter reads: "I, Donald J. Trump, hereby resign from each and every office and position I hold" in more than 400 entities listed on the following pages.

The letter is signed by Trump and dated January 19, the day before he was sworn in.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer told reporters Monday that Trump's two adult sons, Donald Jr. and Eric, are "fully in charge of the company."

At a press conference January 11, Trump pledged to transfer his business holdings to a trust run by the sons. He refused to sell his ownership stake, a step that many ethics lawyers say is critical to avoid conflicts of interest.

As the Washington Examiner points out today, just as Trump gets set for meetings in China tomorrow, Senator Richard Blumenthal has suddenly taken a new interest in the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China which rents commercial space in Trump Tower.

In a call with reporters, Blumenthal said a Chinese bank renting space at Trump Tower in New York is illegal without congressional permission and may be influencing Trump's policy decisions.

“To be really blunt, an arm of the Chinese government is paying President Trump rent for his building, and last year as you all know China granted President Trump 40 trademarks,” the Connecticut Democrat said on a conference call.

Now the good part. Under Blumenthal's logic, "President Trump could avoid any Foreign Emoluments Clause problem simply by transferring his financial interests into the names of his wife or children.".... Just like he and his wife are doing!!! LOL

Ironically, while Senator Blumenthal was all too happy to speculate wildly about Trump Tower leases, he was somewhat less eager to answer questions about China's 'People's Daily' newspaper which leases space in the Empire State Building, a building which his wife's family manages.

But Blumenthal did not mention on the call that the People’s Daily newspaper is a tenant in the Empire State Building, which his wife’s family manages. He departed the call before a question and answer period with legal experts.

I don't think "colluding" is accurate as far as China goes -- I DO think he has hidden business ties with China that might greatly influence his decision making, which means he might choose what is best for him over what is best for America. But this is dossier-based information. More and more of it seems to be corroborated...you can thank Carter Page for the latest info on that front!

I could spend an hour refining this post and putting up links that would be largely ignored, but honestly, why bother.
