“Jimmy Fallon’s mother, Gloria, died peacefully on Saturday," Fallon's spokeswoman, Claire Mercuri, confirmed in a separate statement sent Sunday to USA TODAY. "Jimmy was at his mother’s bedside, along with her loved ones, when she passed away at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC. Our prayers go out to Jimmy and his family as they go through this tough time.”

I love me some Jimmy Fallon. He started by auditioning for Saturday Night Live, his childhood dream.

I think he's stayed down to earth since then, a very kind and funny guy.

My thoughts are with him.

So believe it or not, when it comes to our painfully extreme love for our family and significant others, politics don't enter our mind when it comes to the incredible connection we have with them.

A very sad time for Mr. Fallon and his family. We've all lost a loved one...and it's never easy.
