Or it has been leaked to the press to become a small beacon of hope that somehow Manafort will get off.

That possibility has not escaped me!

POTUS is entitled to an opinion, as well as defending individuals he doesn't believe committed a crime (like Obama admin officials making excuses for Clinton during an FBI investigation).

Even guilt of a friend/associate proves nothing about POTUS. We have freedom of association. Since only the individual committing a certain illegal act is responsible for said action, this is another big nothing-burger as it relates to President Trump.

If Flynn committed some crime, then he should be punished for it.

Manafort is extremely likely to "get off."

You should take a look for the conviction rate of a lot of those charges listed on the indictment. Start high, plead low - probably leniency in exchange for cooperation or something to that affect.

I could be wrong, time will tell I suppose. Personally I think Manafort and all the other DC-insider lifers should be thoroughly investigated as a vast majority undoubtedly have criminal skeletons in the closet.

I don't believe he is either. I think he is a stepping stone to bigger fish.

Time will tell.

I've given up on politicians going to the clink. I get let down every time.

I have friends who are in politics. Not everybody is out for themselves.

If they are at the Federal level they are.

And they'd also not be your friends at that point.

That won't be the case if he fires Mueller.

Where was your source when he was arrested ....last July??? No one knew Mueller was even looking at him so no one can claim Mueller doesn't have anything because you do not know what he has. Papadopolis is a prime example.

No one saw popadopalos because it was sealed and the plea was entered in secret. Plus it was a lame process crime, a nothing burger that the left has ceased upon because they have nothing else.

A lame process crime because he turned cut a deal & then gathered incriminating evidence against his associates.

K~

You don't believe that do you? Of course he is. Mueller was put in place to investigate the firing of James Comey...

And Comey said he wasn't under investigation.
