Cheer up because things may not be that bad. The future's what you make. Based on the bad behaviour of the EU since they were jilted, I am glad to be shaking free of the Franco-German shackles. Now the EU may need to face up to a belligerent Russia on their own, which is something that is worrying the ex-Soviet nations in the East and the Baltic. These nations neither Trust Germany, nor Russia.
