The idea that there was a land mass at the North Pole would make it impossible for the cold war idea that Russian and U.S. submarines could go under the north Pole through the water of the Arctic Ocean under the ice.

It would have meant global weather patterns being very very different to what we see today! Still, does mean that declining Arctic sea ice is a hoax since obviously there never was any there to start with
