It's a simple human trait for most people. It's tough to admit when you're wrong.

That's hilarious

It's true, the standard lodge joke we tell when the new guy asks what kind of beer is in the keg is 'our favorite kind: free and cold'.

But now Trump is the establishment, the ATS membership have largely stuck with him. Illustrating interesting things I think about the psychology of the Trump Cult Of Personality. (Like it or loathe it, it is A Thing.)

I think there are plenty of people here questioning him.

Yes but then they get shouted at and bullied and called names like lefty and libtard and people start saying Hillary did some stuff and then the thread goes to #.

Aye, that's a big problem. Not a single thread can be started to ask questions about if there's anything in any of these allegations that cast light on Trump, because the dogpile of alt-righters charges in to throw insults around and totally destroy any attempt at serious investigation or examination.

And of course the stars of passive-aggressive support.

I've said it before and I'll keep saying it, the stars need to be taken away for political postings, and the mud pit needs to be removed completely. Before this places degenerates completely.

If they are personally getting called names they should report it, name calling is not permitted even in the Mud Pit. If it is a general thing like 'people who voted for Hillary are libtards' then they need to suck it up.

I'm not going to "suck it up."

If you're into political debates you will since it's not reportable.

It is reportable it will just have no action taken.

All Masons are libtard snowflakes.

Hillary had the biggest misinformation war in history, but did not win the election. The media is twisting everything lately, they are promoting chaos though, not really fighting a war. Russia won fair and square, their objective is to cause turmoil in our society. I do not think that the Russians accomplished helping Trump into office though, Hillary just screwed up too much in her past. I doubt if it made much different in the outcome, the FBI stated that long ago and even though Russia did try to slam Hillary, it was not Trump they were trying to help, Hillary did this to herself, she pissed off Putin quite a while back. He put her in her place by exposing her. Assange was just doing Americans a service, helping us find the truth about how bad she would have been as president.

It is pretty hard to make up lies against someone who doesn't do anything wrong, Hillary screwed up quite a bit as Secretary of State, she should never been allowed to run for that office of President of the USA. I think of it as an insult to that office that she got to run, although, I really am not that impressed with Trump's ego and his use of Twitter.

I'm not gonna do your research.

But i will say this: No matter what party or person you are.. There are always good and bad decisions.
You guys act like he is the devil himself. Two scoops of icecream for god sake.

Don't you find that a "little" over reacting?

The only people I saw talking about two scoops of ice cream were the conservatives here who were triggered by a CNN story. Most normal people just laughed at how stupid it was and moved on.

Trump isn't the devil, he's just Trump. The same Trump he's been in the 1980's, the 1990's, and the 2000's. Only people who've been brainwashed into the right wing narrative believe he's someone else, while every action and word from him scream otherwise.

Research? I was just wanting to see some evidence of what is so obvious to you. I'm not surprised I'm left wanting.

With the recent arrests in the Mueller investigation I think that there is something that has to be said, its quite a obvious point but not one I have seen discussed. First lets just take away the whole idea of Russian collusion. While yes I do believe there there is more to be revealed from the ongoing investigations for now lets pretend that there was no collusion, none, nobody from the Trump campaign had any contact with any Russians or persons linked to Russia.

If we take this approach, there is still one massive problem, its now abundantly clear and has been for quite some time that the Russians influenced the campaign. They fought was I think could be regarded as the most successful misinformation war in history. They used various tactics such as hacking, advertising and social media manipulation to undermine the Democratic Party and actively promote Trump as the ideal presidential candidate.

I don’t see any point in going over everything that we already know, I think it is fair to say that the Russians influenced this election. Yet I already know who will deny this, the Trump supporters and then the question has to be why they deny this in the face of such overwhelming evidence.

I think the answer is quite simple, they were duped.

Trumps supporters have fell for this massive Russian propaganda campaign in the most spectacular way possible and as a result the desired outcome for the Kremlin has been achieved. All because Trumps supporters permitted themselves, through their hate of liberal ideals and the Democrats to be willingly influenced by the Russians and essentially let the Russians sway the election.

Trumps supporters have enabled the Russians to do what was previously unthinkable, they have aloud them to win, they have won, they got their guy into the Whitehouse, their candidate won. Trump was as much a candidate of the Republican Party as she was the Kremlin, collusion or no collusion for the Russians having Trump in the Whitehouse was always going to be the best outcome.

Not only that they have now demonstrated that with enough resources and know how they can influence even the most powerful democracy and bend it to their will. All because Trump supporters could not see through the Russian propaganda machine.

You guys let the Russians win regardless if there was collusion or not.

I think it's patently false to claim that Russia influenced the election, although -- it's clearly obvious we're under attack by the Russian state. Russia has been playing both sides from the beginning. There is abundant evidence of Russian espionage in social media, as well as in politics, both public and private.

Pappadopoulos is a clear example if we take the assumption that Trump himself wasn't involved at face value. At this point, that would have been a Russian spy.

Same thing with the DNC's commission of the dossier, only the commission of a fraudulent dossier is definitely illegal and the distribution and dissemination of such is a criminal action known as "Libel." This is why Hillary is now saying "Collusion is not a crime" -- while it might not be, they still lied about it and tried to hide their commission of the report -- why? Because Libel IS a crime.

That said, it's entirely possible that the DNC was taken by Russian spies also, however -- most politicians are corrupt DNC/RNC, so you go into that line of reasoning knowing that some of them knew and were complicit regardless.

You will see Red and Blue ties to Russia, because they are Russian spies, and they infiltrated both parties.

Be that as it may, Hilary still had illegal classified emails on an illegal email server, and the truth about this is why she lost the election. Of which, was mostly leaked by the DNC, but almost certainly by a Russian operative. That said; who cares -- she lost for a legit reason, I don't care who uncovers the truth, where the truth comes from doesn't matter if it's verified as the truth and in this particular instance, it was indeed -- verified.

It's also blatantly true that you cannot stop espionage from taking place. Not that you shouldn't try to route it out or purge it, because of course you should, but -- we do it every day in other countries and it's done to us daily by both China and Russia, as well as many other places in the world.

Almost all of our Denial of Service Attacks originate from China or Russia.

a reply to: OtherSideOfTheCoinProbably more accurate to say that the entre election process in the states was corrupted rather than be partisan and just level allegations at the side you don't like.

Hillary took money off the Saudis for instance, some of which was used to try and create dirt on her opponents. No on is clean.

The American people aren't idiots, they faced crooked Hillary or crazy Trump, in the end they (Like we in the UK have to) went for the least onerous choice.

If there had been just one candidate in the final round who was a decent, plain speaking and honest person who didn't have some dealbreaker in their policies, they would probably have won...I am pretty sure that, despite his faults, Bernie would have won against The Donald.
Hillary would have trouble beating Mister Ed to be fair.

I think Trump is doing a great job! I am so proud of our president! And I love seeing all you anti-American fools and weak sauce Commies role in your misery. So post some more silly ops and comments just crawling at reality for some relief. Anyone who would want to continue the Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Clinton, BS should probably not comment on this site. Just saying .. The motto used to be deny ignorance.reply to: underwerks

Well, we will never know now will we?

I would say though, that trawling ATS and other sites in the lead up, Bernie was a lot more liked by middle of the road types than Hillary ever was. So I do think that part of what Trump offered (Which was a change from the same old rubbish) could potentially have been seen in the Bernie vote too. Lot of younger people liked him who were seriously turned off by Hillary, for instance.
