True. You can't smoke in a hotel any more.
No problem there. I quit in 2012. I don't even think about that any more.

The question is: WHY is there a bible at all?

hah, lol, religious control freaks figure most people use hotel rooms to sin in, have sex, drink , do drugs, the bible is there for guilt --

Atheists. Or agnostics.

How would you feel if there was a nice little Koran on the bedside table for your perusal?

If it's got thin pages like the Gideon Bible then it can also be used for spliff rolling.

It's a win-win really.

The mini bar has candy and chips. Not alcohol. They don't stock drinks in a hotel room.
Oh and the mini bar is a revenue generator. Unlike ash trays or bibles.

True. So that rules out better towels then.
I had forgotten they were donated. But yeah. It says so right inside the cover.

Rocky racoon fell back in his room
Only to find
Gidions bible...
But Gidion checked out and
He left it no doubt
To help with good Rockys revival.

I don't even like the placards saying what's on cable left on the table. . I put all advertising including the amenities list out of sight.

We have extensive files detailing your travels Fraulein, and sadly your papers are not in order. Perhaps you would like a lovely all inclusive vacation in the East?

What he did not mention is that his hobby is travelling round and licking the last page in any signed bible he finds in a hotel.

And I seldom go grocery shopping while staying at a hotel but it's not unheard of to pop in for some snacks to take back to the room. No list needed.

No I haven't. Unless you're going to a boutique hotel there's no alcohol stocked in hotel rooms.
You only have to be eighteen to rent a hotel room. The drinking age is twenty one.
I stay at better hotels. Embassy suites, Sheraton four seasons Hilton. None stock alcohol.
