Pollution kills nine million people a year

Wake up people, I've been saying for years that business is the most deadly thing on this planet, here's some more proof. Almost ten million people a year killed by pollution. When you add in everything else like stress, defense contractors, enriching dictators and rogue regimes, and health insurance denials and the numbers get very big very quickly. Americans are too busy being brainwashed to see what the real danger to the world is. Too many of us believe propaganda about government and socialism and can't see the obvious reality.

It would take 450 years to lose 4.5 Billion with a population currently of 7.5 Billion and estimated to reach 10 by 2030.

Not sure what business has to do with pollution, but I don't see the doom.

Pollution is not what you do for fun, its what you do for living.

Then again we will evolve in to live with ever changing climate.

It's mostly from the developing world.

In Mumbai India, for example, breathing the air for one day is as bad for you as smoking 60 cigarettes a day (makes my 20 a day habit seems more reasonable).

I don't even want to imagine how bad it is in the industrial cities of China.

I heard somewhere breathing air for one day in 1910 coventry in england is like smoking 500 cigarettes in one go. Air quality was so bad in london those days, all house were dusted with ash. There was permanent ash mist everywhere in Europe. We all know the history.

But obviously it went well. Look at all of you now.... so, please stop whining. Its all good.

But obviously all yhe dramas about air quality was lie and fake news . So is now. String lives and the week dies.

From 5th December to the 10th December in 1952 the smog in London killed about 10,000 people. It was the worst air pollution in the history of this country.

Thankfully it's not like that anymore.

20% , seems about in line. What does the other 80% die from ? And how is anyone for sure it is pollution ? I dont see any normal death certificate being filled out as "cause of death : pollution"

Starting with regulating medical insurance companies. It said to be the biggest worries of every Americans. And they have rights to be worrried. 38% insurance climes were denied. Thats 1 in 2 Americans get anal without lube. Sort your lifes first. Then worry about others.

neglected, especially in low-income and middle-income

in calculations of the global burden of disease.

caused by pollution are non-communicable diseases,

With that said, this is a project Lancet report. The excerpt below talks a bit about them:

The Lancet Countdown tracks progress on health and climate change and provides an independent assessment of the health effects of climate change, the implementation of the Paris Agreement,1 and the health implications of these actions. It follows on from the work of the 2015 Lancet Commission on Health and Climate Change,2 which concluded that anthropogenic climate change threatens to undermine the past 50 years of gains in public health, and conversely, that a comprehensive response to climate change could be “the greatest global health opportunity of the 21st century”. ...

I thought it would be good to include that as well. But, for me, it never hurts to evaluate what our impact on this world is/has been. Not who has the greatest, but the overall impact of humans in general.

Um, pollution is literally caused by production of products that businesses make to sell. Pollution exists because people get paid to make that pollution through business transactions.

The entire pollution issue is solely backed upon business dealings. Without business, there would be no pollution.

How do you not see what business has to do with pollution?

That's not my issue with the article -- my issue with the article, is -- how did they quantify that pollution killed 9 million people. I've never seen a death report that read "Cause of death: General Atmospheric Pollution."

Hahahaha, the Article debunks itself;

Airborne contaminants were the leading cause of death by pollution, claiming 6.5 million lives in 2015 from a mixture of heart disease, strokes, and respiratory ailments. This includes both outdoor air pollution—toxins like the mercury spewed by coal fired plants and car emissions—and indoor air pollution caused by burning wood and dung for heat.

So they are claiming that Heart Disease and Strokes are caused by pollution. Right-O.

Strokes are caused by blocked arteries, veinal leaks, or burst blood vessels that cut off the brains supply to oxygen. I.E. Eating poorly gives people a stroke.

All known causes of Heart Disease are caused by diet and dental hygiene.

Heart Disease is the buildup of plaque in your arteries. Usually this comes from gingivitis as a result to not having your teeth professionally cleaned, in which plaque trapped in the pockets in your gums enters the blood stream through the root of a tooth.

It also says "other respiratory ailments" but fails to define those ailments. They are literally attributing all death that isn't murder/suicide/accident related, to pollution. Great source! I.E. This article is full stop propaganda for environmentalism.
