Twitter T&C

We believe that everyone should have the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers.

In order to protect the experience and safety of people who use Twitter, there are some limitations on the type of content and behavior that we allow.

All users must adhere to the policies set forth in the Twitter Rules.
Failure to do so may result in the temporary locking and/or permanent suspension of account(s).

Please note that we may need to change these rules from time to time and reserve the right to do so. The most current version will always be available at twitter.com/rules.
... snip ...

Abusive Behavior

We believe in freedom of expression and in speaking truth to power, but that means little as an underlying philosophy if voices are silenced because people are afraid to speak up. In order to ensure that people feel safe expressing diverse opinions and beliefs, we do not tolerate behavior that crosses the line into abuse, including behavior that harasses, intimidates, or uses fear to silence another user’s voice.

Any accounts and related accounts engaging in the activities specified below may be temporarily locked and/or subject to permanent suspension.

Violent threats (direct or indirect): You may not make threats of violence or promote violence, including threatening or promoting terrorism.

Harassment: You may not incite or engage in the targeted abuse or harassment of others.
Some of the factors that we may consider when evaluating abusive behavior include:
if a primary purpose of the reported account is to harass or send abusive messages to others; if the reported behavior is one-sided or includes threats; if the reported account is inciting others to harass another account; and if the reported account is sending harassing messages to an account from multiple accounts.

Hateful conduct: You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or disease. We also do not allow accounts whose primary purpose is inciting harm towards others on the basis of these categories.
.... snip ..

Sheesh, Trump sems to violate every T&C in the Twitter rule book
and should be banned,
most of us here on ATS would be

Trump's Tweets from today

New York truck attack: Trump urges death penalty for Sayfullo Saipov
Trump's 'alarming ' death penalty call

There's this too

Advocating death to someone online,
That's worth an automatic ban, no ?

These rules are for little people.

Trump can 'fire and fury' North Korea , call 'em names, dispatch the military to harass and intimidate along their borders.

Twitter doesn't care about that, sillies...

As near as I can figure, many people on twitter should be banned according to their terms and conditions. Just sayin'.

Although I think it would be funny if Twitter banned Trump, I don't think it would be a particularly smart move on their part, politically or economically.

I saw a member here on ATS earlier today write about Kevin Spacey the pedo deserving the death penalty.
I gave his comment a star, the 5th or 6th star at that time.

This is global internet as is Twitter. Things get rather subjective. Backbone and brains required.

Or one can choose to stay in their safe places.

I'm not sure if him calling for someone to receive the death penalty for the consequences of their actions is really advocating death, in the sense you interpret it.

The death penalty is a legitimate sentence in the court of law, depending on the state. It would be like someone calling for a criminal to receive life in prison for what they did.

That being said, I think it's very immature of a president to squak about such things on Twitter.

It's more than immature...from the article above

However, some legal commentators suggest that Mr Trump's comments could be seen as prejudicial to a trial. Earlier this week, a military judge said he would consider a lighter sentence for Bowe Bergdahl, a US soldier who deserted his Afghan base, because of Mr Trump's previous urging for that defendant to face the death penalty.

You're joking, right? Alan Fundt is going to jump out and show us where the cameras are momentarily, ya?

Advocating the death penalty isn't inciting or promoting violence in any way. It's advocating a legitimate form of legal consequence being levied against a murderer. Further, Trump isn't advocating the death penalty for any of the protected class reasons listed in Twitter's T&C. The asshole shouldn't swing from his neck because of his race, color, nationality, or sexuality, he should swing from his neck because he's a murdering terrorist piece of crap.

As to Trump's other Twitter *ahem* "violations,"

if a primary purpose of the reported account is to

I don't see "send messages to your political supporters" on Twitters little list of "shall nots."

Oh really, Twitter?
www.docsplace.org...
What about when it's Twitter, itself, which is silencing user's voices?

There has been a few things he should have earned the ban hammer for, but not the things you listed.

It would be funny if he did get banned for one of his off the wall outbursts at some point IMO. That will never happen though because some people do not have to follow the rules.
