I don't think I can link this article as it's from the Las Vegas Review Journal. I will do my best without it.

Oct. 27, 2017

Mandalay Bay security officer Jesus Campos has been staying at an MGM Resorts International property at the company’s expense following the Oct. 1 shooting on the Strip, the Las Vegas Review-Journal has learned. As a result, some veteran trial lawyers are questioning the company’s gesture and potential influence over Campos, a key witness in the criminal investigation and civil litigation against MGM Resorts.

“There’s a suspicion that they are trying to shape his testimony and don’t want him to provide information to the public about the incident,” said Las Vegas attorney Will Kemp, who rose to national prominence while suing the MGM Grand after its deadly fire in 1980.

“Obviously, they want him to come out with a version of the timeline that’s favorable to them.” Another veteran trial lawyer, Robert Eglet, said the company’s decision to shelter Campos from the public could backfire.

“Potentially, if they are influencing him in any way on his testimony, it’s reasonable for people to suspect that they could be engaging and trying to control what his testimony or what his statement would be,” he said.

Eglet’s firm, which has won multimillion-dollar jury verdicts against large corporations, surveyed the crime scene and took aerial photographs, and it has a team of investigators dissecting the shooting. Several victims and their relatives have retained Eglet for possible lawsuits against MGM Resorts, he said.

The LVRJ has, even with their idiotic rules about linking them on the net, been a sort of free speech zone in the bought and paid for MSM. I know this as I have numerous articles I kept from their pages back when I worked for them in the late '80's to early '90's. IOW, I trust them slightly more than most MSM outlets. This raises, I believe, interesting questions and one is what I found when I finally found this article on the net that Campos is now supposedly back at work.

If he's back at work why can't anyone talk to him? Should be easy. The original article raises the questions that we have all been raising about the changing of the timeline. I'm truly surprised that any MSM outlet would carry a story on this but there you have it. Why hasn't he been grilled? Where are the "investigative" journalists asking the questions we have all raised?

Why the hell do we have no information, no CCTV - and I do get that Vegas is a unique situation where the corporations that run these casinos don't want that to get out there - but dammit, they owe us a explanation and this Campos "story" seems to be just that. A fictional story. Why is he back to work so soon after being shot? Why did they hole him up and only let Ellen "interview" him?

Something is really rotten here, I just don't know what exactly is causing the stink.

I hope I did what I tried to do - OMFG! someone in the MSM is questioning this was my thought when I saw this. I got busy with work and stuff so it took me a few days get around to this.

I could say a lot more but I don't want to detract from this particular point that seems rather skeezy. They are lying to us, how much they are lying is the real question.

Shaping the story in their favor is a definite possibility.

The other side of that is the Casino knows they are going to be sued by those injured and the families of those killed. If the security officer gives interviews it can open up the liability floodgates. While the security officer was involved in a very small but critical point of the events, it wont stop the media from filling in the blanks themselves if they ask a question the officer cant answer completely.

A cause for concern - absolutely.

From a liability aspect though not an uncommon move.

Now if they interfere with his testimony or coach him on the story then the liability in that regard will make the lawsuits 10 times worse.

MGM is going to cover their ass at all costs. I will bet everything I own they have a literal room full of high powered lawyers going over every word of his statement.
They know there will be lawsuits and they will try to limit their exposure and liability. When they are filed [ not if ] look for them to be settled quietly out of court. I wouldn't even be surprised to see other businesses file suit for loss of profit, due to MGM negligence/ lack of security.

This is from Oct 2 -

Shares of Las Vegas-based casinos and hotels, including Mandalay Bay owner MGM Resorts, also fell Monday. Meanwhile, stocks of leading casino operators fell on Monday after the horrific shooting in Las Vegas.

in a recent episode of tucker carlson tonight he had a guest on that was part of this investigation. i believe last thursday or friday. i cant remember his name or position but he was the guy who originally set up the interviews which campos never made it to and instead went into whatever facility and according to him at the behest of the top mgm staff. he mentions that campos had 2 fragments of a bullet in his leg and as far as he was aware, one of the fragments was removed right away and the other one would be removed at a later date. so he was probably struck by fragments of a bullet and never took a full round at full velocity in the leg. depending on how big the fragments were and how deep its something u could probly walk around on without much worry it would just hurt.

edit: found the video, start watching @20:52 for the interview about campos

This guard who got shot is prob down in Mexico partying and drinking his face off all on the now increased payroll from MGM.

Im guessing in another 2 months or so when things quiet down he will be murdered in some sort of gang violence.

Hey Xcath, what are your thoughts on how quickly law enforcement and the FBI came out with their story of a lone shooter with no ties to any political or religious groups? They were telling us this only several hours after the shooting. Is it really possible to be that sure, that soon?

Subscribing to this thread.

There is simply far too much to ignore!

My guess as to why things are so clouded and/or shrouded with mystery or misleading facts, is due to all of the events that purportedly took place that night, was all on private property owned by an entertainment/gaming/real estate mogul; MGM.

And the other main ingredient to this whole mystery, is that this happened in Vegas. Had this happened anywhere else on the planet (where local/state govt corruption with businesses, is among the most rampant), we would know significantly more FACTS (multiple sources cited, photographs, docs, etc. and info damn near fully-vetted) by now... one month after the tragedy.

Everything is so obscure surrounding this, because MGM has a large [and corrupt] ruling fist in Vegas, both on he strip, and off. They (MGM and co.) must have a gag order placed on the employees, local law enforcement, and maybe even the feds. They’d have to, given how LITTLE we *actually* know and are able to undeniably verify.

Where is the transparency that’s so ridiculously available elsewhere and for other mundane nonsense, when WE truly need it now more than ever?

I’m truly hoping for more insiders to come forward with actual data or breadcrumbs that can further be substantiated...

Another very real possibility, is that Campos was/is an illegal immigrant, and that would be HUGE doo doo on MGM’s faces, given the circumstances and mass casualties resulting from said events.

This is truly an injustice to those victims, their families, and all those affected... everything needs to be as public as possible.

Here’s to hoping for some more information to be leaked and the real truth to these events, come to light. And sooner, rather than later.

I don't get it. Is he on some kind of lockdown? Does he leave his room? With all the guests that stay that MGM resorts, has anyone seen him at one of their hotels?

Also, the portion you quoted says "MGM Resorts International property," so...is he even in the U.S?

Thanks for that video. That "quick clinic" business is odd. I know it's been mentioned in other threads but don't know if it's been thoroughly discussed. It sure seems like they took him to the clinic as a reason to bail on those interviews. He's got all of these high-powered executives hosting him in the days following the shooting, and they take him to a minute clinic? Why not a real doctor's office? Or for that matter, why didn't they just have a doc make a house call??

They just wanted a reason for him to bail on the interviews.

This Union guy seems more honest and forthcoming than the LVMPD...his body language doesn't seem suspect to me at all- just an impression. I realize that law enforcement has a lot they can't tell the public, but sheesh this just seems so messed up.

I was following all of the Las Vegas threads pretty religiously for a few weeks, and then I just lost interest, because of the lack of info coming out. Which sucks because I'm sure that's exactly what "they" want- for the public to lose interest. We have to stay on this and get answers, because clearly something more was afoot than just some crazy ass old man going nuts on a crowd of country music fans.

There were unverified, yet multiple sources saying that while Campos was initially missing (however not yet in Mexico, as we just recently learned), he was being kept pretty and pampered high up in a suite at the Delano, which is a sister building to the Mandalay Bay, sharing the same lot. And get this, his room was under the name “Bob Smith”.

And now they claim to have "a knowledgeable source" saying he's back at work !!

notice the RJ always has unconfirmed sources

Unnamed sources and all the 'inside' stories.

Unlike the OP, I haven't felt great about their reporting on the shooting and victims, in general.

You can safely link to RJ stories now.

The " Righthaven" stuff is long over with.

And the RJ has new "owners" too as you probably know.
