Man the 90s had such good music.

SOAD, RATM, and Tool were my genesis.

Always liked B.Y.O.B. It was 'dope' back when my Son was 17-18. Baa wid da baa had just come out too, Kid Rock.

I was literally just listening to them and reminiscing.

Weird coincidence!

Such memories tied in with bands like these, heh.

Supposedly, the first person I ever had one of "those" connections with, was the cousin of the bassist in SOAD. She also introduced me to boysetsfire, which started me down an interesting musical journey that turned into a full blown obsession. I'm grateful for that. Mostly.

denybedoomed, IaAOTS is probably one of the finest albums around, in my opinion. Strange and raw, but can make a helluva impact.

I couldn't stand SOAD back then. They were popular with the new kids on the scene, and me being the cool musical snob I am hated them along with Slipknot. Sugar would get played constantly in the clubs and all the kids would go crazy pretending to fight eachother on the dance floor, much to the bemusement of everyone else.

A few years later I was blown away by Mezmerise.
Absolutely cracking album. Taught me not to be so dismissive.
I still don't like Sugar though, awful track...

Hoo boy, the first two SOAD albums were so freaking heavy. Very cutting edge back then.

Hahahaha hardcore "dancing" is hilarious. I love the "pulling grass" move.

I just hear David Attenborough "see how the males exert their perceived dominance by thrashing wildly, sadly for these young males, the females are not impressed. Perhaps they will try skank dancing next time."
